I have no idea. Maybe he idolizes Torin and wants to be just like him so he’s always taking notes on what he does 👀

Kai’s mental checklist in book one would be so strange. Something along these lines:

1-Go to the ball with ✨cinder✨
2-Keep staring at Torin creepily
3-See 1 again

4- save New Beijing

Kind of out of line with the others 🤣

If I had to describe Kai with one word it’d be:

Cheerio

Someone said my male MC, Cadence, reminds them of Kai and I said "Noooooooooo!"
I love cutie patootie Kai, but I hope Cadence has a bit more depth. :/

I thought it was pretty cute but not amazing. I like Scarlet better so far so I’m hoping the series just keeps getting better each book. Do you think you’ll continue the series?
