I am fascinated by this book.
Not, actually by the book itself.
I'm sure it's very good.
I haven't read it.
I hear good things.
What I am fascinated by, is the cover.
Not this cover, either.
I couldn't find the cover I mean.
But I'll describe it.
It's plain white, with a blue 'something' on the front.
My best guess is a rabbit, with extra long arms and legs being blown backwards in a strong wind.
My daughter thinks maybe a dancer, leaping in the air, and throwing her exceptionally short arms over the back of her misshapen head - though she cannot explain what the two arm-like things protruding behind her would be. My daughter thinks maybe the dancer is wearing a cape. No other clothes though, because she might also be displaying one bare breast - just under her chin.
Has anyone else seen the book cover I mean? I can't post a link but UK amazon has that version.
Does anyone have any better ideas? Is it one of those optical illusion things?
It's driving me nuts.

It Is Icarus painting. You can go to The School of Life site to find an article on this
Oh thank god!
I have no idea what the significance of Icarus or Matisse to the book is. Or why the illustrator removed the background (as in the sun) from the image. But that doesn’t matter.
I just needed to know.
Because the book keeps on being suggested to me (probably because of all the time I have spent looking at it!) and it has been driving me wild.
Thank you for putting me out of my misery!
