I loved this book, in fact it is one of my favorites! She is simply an astonishing woman to have overcome all she did. How many people could immigrate to a foreign country as an adult and so completely integrate herself into that society? I am amazed that she managed to become fluent in Dutch, get through university and land a seat in the Dutch parliament!
I rank her as one of the women I most admire.

I thought this story was astounding especially since I have been traveling continuously in Muslim countries for a few years. I couldn't help but be influenced in my opinions.
Oh wow, this book just changed my world when I read it. She told her story with such blunt and objective honesty, you couldn't help but be drawn in....what an amazing woman. Unfortunantly, Nomad didn't quite hit the mark for me either...I think she has 'one' story so to speak, and it was told in Infidel. But I really hope, and I'm sure that she will, stay politically active. She has a very important message and cause that needs to be heard. Big big fan.
Ali's story was mentioned in the book The Girl that Kicked the Hornets Nest. Actually, I thing Larsson was murdered because of those books. I won't be surprised if The Brotherhood had something to do with it..If you liked this book~ try The Price of Honour by Jan Goodman I believe. She investigates the situation over there.
