ok so as i said i read this one as fast as i could cuz i wanted to finish while still at work lol but i did end up enjoying it in the end. the first half i kept sitting around all numb and shit waiting for The Point. then he does the deed and the trial happens and i'm wonder wtf wrong with this dude, is he a sociopath or am i? why doesn't he care about anything? why don't i care about anything. but then in the end after he freaks out on the priest, i started digging his vibe because i feel like no one really considers his POV. most ppl believe in an afterlife and a divine purpose in life, which is cool and gives you a lot to live for, but also i don't feel like that's something that should be mandatory for everybody. if you think life is pointless, that is a fine argument and shouldn't be dismissed because it doesn't have mass appeal lol if you think there's no god or no afterlife, also cool, let's consider that possibility as well. also some of the writing stood out as pretty between the very very very purposefully dull prose. it made its Point.

As for Camus' existentialism itself, I generally agree with the premises, but not with the conclusions.
i think that we prolly all gonna die and be dead and that is fully that and that nothing we do during life probably matters at all in the end but also i don't wanna live life like a emotionless zombie and care about nothing cuz that's just not a nice way to pass the time while you do be alive haha
