I was just looking at this series at The Strand in NYC! I've had them on my tbr for a while. I would have picked one up, but they didn't have the first.

Woahh, you've been to The Strand before?!

Oh my word! It was amazing. I was in book heaven! XD It was my first time, but I will be back! (Hopefully I will get to go sometime without my kids just so I don't have to spend the whole time researching the books they are interested in. I really did not get to look around. But I was super thankful to be able to direct my 14-year-old to some books I saw recommended by folks here on F&F!! Thank you, one and all!

Oh, that's wonderful! What books did you guys end up getting? I watched part of a video that was a tour of The Strand, but I was getting dizzy just seeing it all! Honestly, I could probably spend a whole week shopping in that store and still not be bored of it (and still be finding new books, yk?).

That's what I call very scary. XD

That’s too bad! I’ve only read two, but I already really want to own the whole set! 😆

That's amazing! Where did you get your copies from?

You’re welcome! XD I want to own them now.

The library! I’ve been a frequent visitor lately.
"You must learn to answer for your own folly. ... As for Melyngar, she is wiser now than you can ever hope to become, even if you should live to be a man--which seems more and more unlikely."
hehehe :)
Melyngar is a horse! XD

Melyngar is a horse! XD
Ok, Melyngar just joined a fight all on his own. I guess he really is an especially wise horse. XD

Definitely Eilonwy. I love how Taran and Eilonwy interact 😂

“Since no one has mentioned it,' said Eilonwy, 'it seems I'm not being asked to come along. Very well, I shan't insist.'
'You, too, have gained wisdom, Princess,' said Dallben. 'Your days on Mona were not ill-spent.'
'Of course,' Eilonwy went on, 'after you leave, the thought may strike me that it's a pleasent day for a short ride to go picking wildflowers which might be hard to find, especially since it's almost winter. Not that I'd be following you, you understand. But I might, by accident, lose my way, and mistakenly happen to catch up with you. By then, it would be too late for me to come home, through no fault of my own.”

But I still like the other characters.

What did you guys think of Taran Wanderer ? I've seen that it's either someone's favorite or they dislike it. It's not my favorite, but I really like it. I thought it was really important for Taran and really showed how he became a man SO well.
Helena wrote: "That's true! For me, I think that Adaon's character was proven [spoilers removed], which is why I liked him that much after a small part in one book.

Is Adaon the man who (view spoiler) ? If so, then, yes, I loved him.
I thought Taran Wanderer was ok, but I knew my son would hate it, so I summarized it for him, then was going to move on to The High King. However, he suddenly decided the books were "too weird", and didn't want me to read them anymore. 🤷♀️ One day, I hope he will read it or let me read it to him.

Aww, that's too bad! Maybe he'll get into it when he's older. How did you like it?"
I loved The High King! The ending surprised me, but it felt so RIGHT.🥹 How about you?
