Our spotlight book for the month of October is The Agathas by Kathleen Glasgow and Liz Lawson!

The book is a mystery, where two friends use the the complete works of Agatha Christie to solve a murder and exonerate one of the girls' ex-boyfriend. The novel has maintained a 4-star average from Goodreads users since its publication in May of this year.

Why do you think Agatha Christie is a classic? Why do you think the authors chose to use this particular author and her novels as a basis for their own mystery? Are you excited to read The Agathas?

Christine | 142 comments Oops, I forgot to post my initial thoughts before I started reading the book. I am excited to read this book. The missing girl aspect of the plot reminds me of Casey McQuiston's I Kissed Shara Wheeler, which I enjoyed reading. I think the authors chose to use Christie as the basis of their novel because they enjoy reading her work, in addition to Christie being so prolific and well-known.
