Is that a subliminal hunger games recommendation? Also are we trying to stay away from series?

I try to stay away from series. Mainly because I am a completist and feel like I have to finish them. That's just me though

The martian won for march. I just finished this paper world a few days ago it was decent. My pick is Mistborn by brandon sanderson, the first book. It is a trilogy so if we dont want to do that thats ok.

I'm fine with books from a series being nominated as long as it's the first book.

Well then im still going with mistborn, the first book in the trilogy. I didnt clarify before the first book is Mistborn: The Final Empire.

I want to nominate The Color of Magic. I believe that Discworld is not a series, because they can be read out of order, but more a world where stories are set (but feel free to disagree with me!). But I want to do Jeff's book first and maybe CoM for May?
