About
Meddy goes on a blind date (that her mother sets up) and she accidentally kills him and her Aunties (and mother) come to her rescue.

Review
Dial A for Auntie was an amazing read; great for you’re in the mood for a light hearted read (like I was after reading Ugly Love by Colleen Hoover). This book made me laugh and honestly I haven’t laughed while reading a book in a very long time and this book achieved that. Each Auntie is extremely different from each other, the only thing they share in common is their love for the main Character Meddy and their willingness to do whatever it takes to keep her safe.

Pros
I love how Sutanto shows that even every family member is different and even though they fight (a lot) they all love each other very much. Another thing I loved was some of the things in the story that happened I didn’t expect and were extremely surprising.

Cons
One thing I did have an issue with was the aunt that would do Tai Chi through the entire book which got annoying and it felt sorta like that was her whole character.

All and all I am excited to read the second book ‘Four Aunties and a Wedding’

5/5 ⭐️

Trigger warning- Racism, murder, attempted SA, drug and alcohol use, dead body

Spice level- .5 / 5 🌶

Info-
Sutanto won the Awards Comedy Women in Print 2021 as well as Goodreads Choice Award (2021) for ‘Dial A for Aunties’

This is book 1 of Sutanto’s Aunties series. At this moment there at only this book and ‘Four Aunties and a Wedding’

Genres- Mystery, Romance, Humor, Fiction

Four Aunties and A wedding
Written by Jesse Q Sutanto

About
This is the Second Book in the Anties series. The first book is Dial A for Aunties.

Review
The first book I read on the first of this most so I was super excited to read the second one since I gave the first one 4 stars. Thinking back to book one, I don’t think I rated it correctly, I think it is a 5 out of 5, instead of a four out of five. This series is absolutely amazing. In this book, I have really thought about the second aunt and her doing tai chi all the time and I realized she does it so much to try to calm herself down because she is a bundle of stress. This book had me laughing so much more than the first one because Meddy’s Ma and Aunts took English classes to talk like an English person and they get a lot of things wrong and will not stop talking, well more like trying to talk as if they are English. I gave this book a five because it had me laughing a lot and I will be reading this book more than once, like the first book. This book is a wonderful continuation of the first book and I really hope there will be a third book of this series.

5 /5 ⭐️

Random Spider (on a hiatus?) The Revenant by Michael Punke
