Are any of you attending the Bouchercon conference in Indianapolis next weekend? I'll be there and would love to meet some of my cozy mysteries friends in person. I'll be on the "Killer Hobbies" panel 9:00 - 9:55 am on Thursday and will be teaching a class on making killer mystery baskets in the Craft Room on Saturday 10:30 - 11:30 am. You have to sign up for this class ahead of time at the Bouchercon website (http://www.bouchercon2009.com/). Please come up and introduce yourself to me if you're going to be there! And if you haven't heard about the conference and would like to attend, it's not to late to register.

I had planned on going this year until work intruded. I have to go to Albuquerque most of next week for "advanced" training on a couple of computer programs my company has invested in. I hadn't sent in my registration yet, so at least I didn't lose any money on that. I have attended several B'cons and they are loads of fun! I will definitely be attending next year in San Francisco. My DH is going, too, so he can play while I'm B'con-ing!
I will be attending my first Bouchercon. I'm attending as an author and will be on a panel (Friday afternoon with Anne Perry, Caroline Todd, Susanne Calkins and Susanne Alleyn). Any advice for this newbie?

Joining a very old thread ...Has anyone been to Bouchercon (especially since the last post in 2013)? It's in my area this year and I'm thinking about attending. There isn't a schedule posted yet though and since I've never been, I don't know much about it.
I haven't attended but it's a gathering of mystery authors and fans. The program is mostly interviews with more renown authors and author panels. Might be some cozy authors, but the majority of the writers are probably not, more hard-boiled, noir, police procedurals. Look at the program before signing up to make sure there are enough panels you want to attend. You can also buy a lot of books there.
