Kathleen | 71 comments I gotta plug The Patron Saint of Second Chances again. Unexpectedly ridiculous and reads like a movie!

Mirkat | 276 comments I think prepping for for the August Crafty Lovers book-club meeting will prevent me from delving into this list, but I definitely recommend The Last Black Unicorn . I love Tiffany Haddish.

message 6: by Diana (new)

Diana | 84 comments I finished The Pain Eater yesterday. A strange odyssey into family dynamics and what it means to feel human.

message 7: by Jody (new)

Jody (jodysquadere) | 80 comments I have read a few books on that list. The Wangs vs the World is a favorite. Evvie Drake …and Finley Donovan… were fun reads. I’m reading 2 Sedaris books now: Happy Go Lucky audio book and his collection of earlier work, The Best of Me. The oldest and the newest. I’m loving rereading stories I first read decades ago. I love his voice. I love filtering the world through his lens.

Vickie | 38 comments I finished "Kismet." I was hoping for more.

message 9: by Selena (new)

Selena | 8 comments I thought the Last Black Unicorn was hilarious. Definitely had some laugh out loud moments for me. Another book that made me laugh was Let's Pretend This Never Happened by Jenny Lawson. It came out a while ago, but I loved it.

Jaybee | 78 comments I love the Finlay Donovan series and Evie Drake was great too.

I finished Tomorrow, and Tomorrow, and Tomorrow this week and was completely sucked in. I found myself thinking about it when I wasn't reading it, which is always a sign of a good book.

Alicia (readersbeadvised) | 124 comments I had finished the audiobook yesterday of Queer Ducks (and Other Animals): The Natural World of Animal Sexuality that while is a nonfiction title (apparently targeting a YA audience) has some funny elements as it explains queerness in the animal world.

If you ever get a chance to see David Sedaris in person, I highly recommend. Saw him at the Egg several years ago, and I laughed the entire evening.

Susan D'Entremont (susande) | 286 comments Was at the beach last week and read both Finlay Donovan Is Killing It and Last Summer at the Golden Hotel while there. I preferred the latter, but both were good beach reads. I just started another book that also is looking to be a good beach read - Jameela Green Ruins Everything
