When Phoebe confronts Edward about his mistress, son and financial mismanagement, he has an unusual reaction. He admits he loves his mistress and son but she’s not good enough to marry and Phoebe should still marry him as he loves her, too. Your thoughts?

I wanted to slap Edward in the face then give him a knee where it would hurt the most. You know if he is building her that big house, he would continue with the affair. Edward would never truly love Phoebe. What a nasty man!

My initial reaction was that Edward was completely delusional. In what alternate universe could he have possibly thought that Phoebe would go for something like that?

Edward was just ridiculous. Did he really believe what he was saying? I have no idea, but I can't believe he really thought that Phoebe would agree with him.
