I don't know what protocol is in a situation like this. I think Rachel could have given Lucy a heads-up about the situation with Sean, and tell her that the ASAC wanted to talk to her about it.Abigail Durant told Lucy to take the rest of the day off and not to get involved in the investigation. I could understand that the FBI has to keep up all appearances to make sure it doesn't look like they are covering up something. (Just look at all of the accusations against the FBI in the last week.) But I thought Abigail and Rachel could have handled it better. They could have listened to Lucy's theories (they know she's usually right) and made sure others law enforcement knew what was going on. Instead they just washed their hands of the situation.
I agree with you Robin. They turned their backs on her, especially Rachel. She tossed her to the wolves and made it clear she was on her own. Shame on them. They owed Lucy better. This was a low moment for all of them.
It wasn't at all how you would expect people who actually knew Sean to react. He was not an unknown to these two women, he has worked with them in the past. The way they treated Lucy was despicable. I can understand cutting her off from FBI resources but expecting her to go home and sit on her hands was a little much.
