I would love some recommendations for novels written by Australian authors born overseas. Do we have a list for this already?

I can recommend an arc I just read of All That's Left Unsaid by Tracey Lien (pub 1st Sept). She wasn't born overseas, but in Australia after her family emigrated from Vietnam, and brought up in the Cabramatta area in the 90s amongst the Vietnamese community there. The novel is about a Vietnamese family in Cabramatta and sounds like it's based on her experiences of growing up in an immigrant family if that's what you're interested in.
If you haven't read it, I can also recommend The Happiest Refugee by Anh Do about his experiences as a Vietnamese refugee growing up in Australia.Adrian McKinty was born in Belfast where his Sean Duffy series is set - highly recommended.
Literary author and award winner Michelle de Kretser was born in Sri Lanka, emigrating to Australia when she was 14.
A.M. Stuart was born in Kenya and emigrated with her family to Australia when she was 10.
Alice Pung was born in Australia a few weeks after her parents escaped the Khmer Rouge and has co-written a book Growing Up Asian in Australia about her experiences
Malla Nunn grew up in Swaziland before moving to Australia. She writes mysteries set in Africa.
T.M. Clark was born in South Africa and also writes crime novels set in Africa.
That's all I can think of right now but I'm sure the avid readers on here will know of heaps of others!

Here are some of the better known crime authors I can think of.Peter Temple - author of the Jack Irish books plus the splendid The Broken Shore was born in South Africa
Barry Maitland - author of the Brock and Kolla police procedural series was born in the UK
Jane Harper - author of the Aaron Falk series (The Dry, etc.) was born in the UK
Rachel Amphlett - author of numerous detective series was born in the UK
J.P. Pomare - born in New Zealand he has been producing some quality crime novels lately
I started a list on Listopia called Australian Immigrant Lit. Maybe we can add some books to it. https://www.goodreads.com/list/show/1...
I found another list on Listopia if people are interested in broadening their Australian reads called Diverse Authors of Australian Fiction.https://www.goodreads.com/list/show/1...
There is also an Indigenous Australian Writing

Cheers thanks Brenda. Hopefully that will help others like me who are trying to combine reading around the world and reading Australian authors!
Hello all, this is my first time posting. I recently read Melina Marchetta’s Looking For Alibrandi (after missing out reading it as a teen-not on my school curriculum). Should I read Saving Francesca? I really loved the journey Josie went through trying to figure out her identity as an Italian-Australian. I’m of mixed cultural heritage myself and could really relate to her experience.
Melina Marchetta a popular YA author and Saving Francesca would be a good one to read next Isabel :)
