Kaitlin Jundt (kkjundt) | 8 comments I plan to read Pat of Silver Bush or Magic for Marigold or both! I also hope to read Among the Shadows around Halloween!
I'm already currently rewatching Road to Avonlea and I plan to check out the PBS version of Anne of Green Gables. I've also been slowly watching the Emily of the New Moon series.

Kami | 8 comments I plan on starting out with book #3 of the Emily series to complete it. There seems to be several different adaptations of her others, but haven't chosen one yet.

Kaitlin, I'm thinking that Among the Shadows would be a fun group read for October. If several people plan to read it, then I will start a discussion thread just for it.

Great! I think we will do that in October. I will make a discussion thread for that when we get a little closer.

Elizabeth Meadows (lizziefaye) | 424 comments I decided that I wanted to reread as many LMM books during the challenge that I can fit in. So I may try and complete the challenge board each month. I am just going down the list. On September 1, I listened to The Blue Castle. I had basically forgotten the whole story and I loved it. I have watched 7 of 13 episodes of Emily of New Moon Season 2. After I finish Season 2, I want to rewatch Season 1 of Road to Avonlea. I plan to listen to After Many Years for my Short Story Collection for September. I'll report on more prompts as I go.
I hope you all are enjoying what you are reading and watching.

Donna | 95 comments Hi, Elizabeth and everyone. I started The Blue Castle this morning and could not stop until I finished it earlier this evening. One of the nicest reads ever. Her writing evokes so much color. In the end, I would not ever have wanted to leave the island. A story I could relate to on several levels. Thank you so much, Elizabeth for peaking by interest in reading this book as your favorite stand-alone. It will remain one of the dearest books in my heart.

I have a used copy I ordered on its way of Among the Shadows, her collection of short stories from the darker side. Waiting with much anticipation now that I have read my first LMM book.

Annie O'Brien | 18 comments I'll be watching Anne of Avonlea this weekend as well as Anne of Green Gables : The Sequel. These movies cover her teaching years and I will probably like the second one from the 80's better. I often think of Lucy Maud's real teaching experiences which were very difficult as far as living and working conditions when I watch these.. I plan to read Among the Shadows on Openlibrary.org in October. I read it last year also.

Melinda | 45 comments I just finished Anne of Manhattan. One thing, Anne and Gilbert are and always will be soulmates no matter the retelling. Swoon. I loved this minders day retelling of them in grad school. It was nice to see all the original characters from the Anne of Green Gables story.

Not sure what I’ll do now on the Bingo board. So many watching options and I don’t have any cable or streaming services. I’ll see about getting a short story collection for a Bingo from bottom left diagonal to top right.

Kami | 8 comments I completed episode 4, season 1 of Emily. Hopefully will complete the board and want to read everything she wrote by the end of the year. So far I have finished all the short stories from 1896 - 1922; plus 87 uncollected short stories; Emily's Quest, Jane of Latern Hill, The Alphine Path -biography of her career; Pat of Silver Bush and Mistress Pat. This has been a great reading month so far and am really enjoying the readathon with you all.

Kaitlin Jundt (kkjundt) | 8 comments I just watched the Sullivan Entertainment documentary "Avonlea A Rustic Paradise"! It was a 30 minute documentary explaining how Kevin Sullivan, director of Road to Avonlea and Anne of Green Gables, took L.M. Montgomery's books and created the story and scenery for Anne of Green Gables and Road to Avonlea!

Elizabeth Meadows (lizziefaye) | 424 comments Hi everyone, sorry that I've been out of touch. I've been sick and am still getting over it. I've been reading a watching quite a lot of things over the past couple of weeks.
Right now I'm reading Maud by Melanie J. Fishbane and I'm also reading Looking for Anne of Green Gables by Irene Gammel. But my favorite LMM thing by far this month is the Anne of Green Gable Devotional. I ordered it from ebay recently and it's beautiful. It has a devotional to coincide with each chapter of Anne. I am reading it right now in November each day and I love it!
