How are You using GoodReads?

I ask because I am considering deleting my GoodReads account after 12 years. Earlier in my GoodReads life, I enjoyed making friends with some authors and exchanged books and wrote reviews for them; but that has not happened in a long time. I have been primarily using the Creative Writing section by linking it to my website and blog under the title, "My Current Unpublished Writing on GoodReads." I'm very grateful to GoodReads for being a place where I could have 30 articles I was working on." I'm grateful to GoodReads also for giving me the heads up they are removing the Creative Writing section next week and for suggesting KDP. I have a brand new ebook of 8 of those articles. The other's went to new Pages on my blog. So I'm ready to lose that. In the process of publishing the new book with KDP, they recommended I create a new Amazon account. My old one had so many old addresses and old credit cards that it had become problematic. Unfortunately, in creating a new Amazon account, I lost my Kindle Library I'd collected even longer than I've been on GoodReads. Then I see there is now some kind of connection between Amazon and GoodReads? I don't believe I've ever sold one of my 6 books on GoodReads. I don't believe GoodReads has any bank info on me. Is there someplace I can go look for such things? So I connected my GoodReads and Amazon account and low and behold there's my Kindle library books listed. Can I read them here at GoodReads? So that's my question; If I can't buy, sell nor read books on GoodReads, what is GoodReads good for? What benefit or enjoyment do you feel you are getting from GoodReads? Please give me a reason to stay! Thank You!
