Grave Peril
question
Question about lydia.

Maybe i missed it but what was the connection between lydia and the story. Why was lydia being attacked? I know she was at the warehouse the day kravos was taken down, but why was lydia there? What makes her special?

If I remember correctly, Lydia's significance is that she's the only one who knew that Kravos was the person behind the Nightmare. Had she told Harry about the connection, Kravos might have been stopped quicker, which is why she was being attacked.
Was Lydia the apprentice that Harry refused to help in the beginning of the book?
Lydia was an oddity in the book for me.
I don't remember if Lydia was with Kravos when Dresden, Michael, and CPD took him down but that is a reasonable assumption. We do know that Lydia was part of his group and that she displayed Cassandra's Tears so had something of power within her.
I suspect that as there had been an association between her and Kravos, and that Mavra and Bianca where working magic to help Krovos help them, and knowing Dresden's weakness when it comes to ladies in distress, it seems natural that she would become caughtup in the machinations . . .
