The Academy For Mythical Creatures discussion
Lyrei waved him over to go next to her. Lyrei hoped she could at least shift into an animal after all the hard work and practice-
"trying to remember how to transform into an animal I wan't" she looked at her "why does transforming have to be so hard", Lyrei sighed "so how are you doing?", she looked at her trying to understand if she was a dragon or a human-reptile.
"I'm Lyrei", she answered still wondering what type of creature Bret was. "so what type of human-reptile are you?", Lyrei asked trying to make out what she was
"thank you", you could see her cheeks turned a little pink "Maybe I can help you shift out? I mean I am a shapeshifter too but I shapeshift into animals and other people"Lyrei said looking up to herBret is 3 years older so she (bret) is taller right? //

Lyrei didn't understand anything, if she can shift back why is she stuck? whatever, she thought and continued talking "I don't know how to shift that well", Lyrei looked down "yet every time I try I transform to something weird", she laughed but you could see a little disappointment in her face
Lyrei waited for the club to start, what is wrong with me I can't even understand the difference between a dragon and a lizard guy, she thought and looked at Bret "you seem tall, how old are you?"

What was I thinking she's 3 years older I can't be in love with someone that old, Lyrei thought to herself and put her hand on her forehead, her eyes watered a littleshe is so sensitive =< //
Lyrei wiped her tears away and looked at Bret "Yeah", she answered and hoped for the club to start, why just why Lyrei, she looked back down
Lyrei remained quiet, why am I always so stressed, she wiped another tear away and sat down with both hands on her forehead. Calm down Lyrei, you just met her, she wiped her tears away and looked at the pollover she was wearing, her sleeves were wet.
"Yeah it's fine", Lyri couldn't control her breath, at least I'm not crying anymore, she thought and remained quiet
"me too", she wispered still looking at the ground, what do I say now, Lyrei tried to find what else she could say
((I could join as well? If y’all don’t mind, of course. My character Will is in this Club.
The doors to the club opened, and in-came a panic-stricken boy. Aka, Will. “Am I late?!” He asked urgently, nearly dropping his books and staff in the process. Quickly adjusting his cape and straightening his full cloak, Will grinned sheepishly, looking around the room at the people inside.
Lyrei rushed out of her room after putting a blue eye-lense covering her yellow eye so now both are blue. She opened the door and ran to a desk, she breathed very quickly and sat down next to Will
The brunette took a glance at the girl, Lyrei. He knew her briefly, only because of the club and a few classes they shared together, but then again he never really spoke to anyone. Will could remember everyone’s names, because there were hardly any members at all compared to the other clubs in this particular one. Deeming the side-fact of him participating in the all-famous art club as well. Sighing in great relief that he wasn’t the only one who was nearly late, Will settled himself down in his usual seat once neatly placing his things down beside him.
Lyrei sat next to him as it was the only seat left. SHe took out her books and started reading, then she turned over to Will looking at him as if her was a stranger Okeh maybe I have to go NOW to bed =3 //
Practically feeling Lyrei’s eyes burning through the side of his skull, Will shifted nervously, his gaze flickering over to her before he hurriedly grabbed his spell book. He was close to finishing volume ll by now. Extending his hand out, Will flicked his wrist and concentrated on something inner within, resulting in a purple flame sprouting to life in the very palm of his hand. He beamed at it, proud he had done so.
Will’s hazel eyes lit up at the praise. “Thank you, Mr. Rye.” He said softly, bowing his head. All the teachers were used to it at this point. The boy always bowed his head low, no matter who he was talking to and no matter what it was about — it was just instinctive. Will then made a motion with his hand, and the fire was extinguished.
Will, seeming surprised at his request, nodded and clutched his book so he could know the exact page. He’d prefer to not embarrass himself in front of the entire club, but maybe this would boost his reputation? The brunette got up out of his chair, flashing the girl next to him a quick but friendly smile. Then he headed up to the front and took a deep breath, steadying his heart rate. Will glanced over at Mr. Rye for confirmation that he could speak.
((Sorry this is so long- XD))
Will’s gaze stuck to Lyrei for a minute. “It’s okay.” He said softly, his tone gentle and patient. “No sorcerian started out good.” Will smiled weakly before he sighed and turned to face the whole club. “So, as Mr. Rye said, this is our lesson for the day. If you’d like more information,” Will paused and looked at his book for a millisecond. “You’ll find it on page 214 of Volume ll, a Witch’s Guide to Charms and Specialties.” Will took a few glances around the room, shifting on his feet. He knew the whole club had their attention on him. Will silently thanked the stars that he had yet to stutter. “So, basically-“ He stopped, feeling a stutter coming on, so he took another breath. “If you want to cast a fireball charm, you have to focus on something that makes you….angry. Something deep within your soul. And as you do this, harness that anger. With a flick of your wrist, you should have a ball of flames in the palm of your hand. Like this.” Will closed his eyes and demonstrated, focusing on a memory he hated to the core. His father….the many thoughts about his father…..and then he flicked his wrist and the purple flames erupted out of his hand, but they were still controlled. The sparks lit the dimmed room up with an eery glow. Then he closed his hand, balling it up into a fist, and the fire was gone. “The flames themselves differ between everyone. It’s based off of your feelings, your true self. There’s a color chart located on page 215.” Will spoke, his voice quavering at the last part. His focus turned onto Mr. Rye, hoping he had done good at least.
Will ducked his head, watching the other club members get up out of their seats and begin moving the desks aside. Will watched before turning away, pressing his hand against a few weird marks in the wall. Then, the bricks moved, shifting and scraping, before Will had to jump back as dummies came barreling through. They came to a halt in the front of the classroom and everyone started training. The boy heaved a sigh, wiping his brow with his cloak before harnessing the flames once more and blasting the purple flames at the dummy in front of him.
“You also instructed last week that we’d be doing sphere-flame charms this week for a short period of time, which is what we’re doing right now, Mr.” Will added, looking over at him. It was true — but Will also just listened to everything and kept in track of everything so he wouldn’t get behind.
