Winter (winter9) | 5003 comments Hi everyone!

Time to nominate books for November! The theme is Glass.

~Please remember to state a connection to the theme when you nominate.

~Books we have read less than three years ago are not eligble. To see which books are not eligble, see this google sheet:

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/...

~ Each person can nominate 1 book.

~ Book must be available both as a physical copy and as an ebook.

~ Authors: Please do not nominate your own book.

~ Please do not nominate books that are part of a series, unless it is the first book.

~ You can second someone else's nomination, but that will count as your nomination.

This thread will be closed by September 26th, and we will choose ten books for the poll. If there are more than ten books nominated, we will choose "seconded" books first. If there is still a tie to get into the top ten, we'll go back to the Goodreads average rating to see which is highest.

GailW (abbygg) | 1141 comments I nominate Greenglass House by Kate Milford. It's the first in a middle grade mystery series, that is delightful. It's mystery, fantasy: an old house, adoption, diversity in ethnicity and age, and other stuff I can't say because it gives some of the story away. I just finished reading it and loved it! The connection is the stained glass windows in the house (which play a significant role in the story) and the picture of the house on the cover.

Erica (erixx223) | 2 comments I'd like to nominate Throne of Glass by Sarah J. Maas. Glass is mentioned in the title.

message 4: by Ilona (new)

Ilona | 4698 comments I'd like to nominate The Glass Hotel by Emily St. John Mandel, the connection is the title.

In this captivating story of crisis and survival, Emily St. John Mandel takes readers through often hidden landscapes: campgrounds for the near-homeless, underground electronica clubs, the business of international shipping, service in luxury hotels, and life in a federal prison. Rife with unexpected beauty, The Glass Hotel is a captivating portrait of greed and guilt, love and delusion, ghosts and unintended consequences, and the infinite ways we search for meaning in our lives.
