This year has been a little crazy for me. I gave birth to my first child! An adorable baby boy. So, obviously, I've been quite busy. Not a lot of time for reading. :( But it's time to find something new to read that's worthy of my suddenly limited time. I'm on the hunt.

So I thought I'd start a thread for us to post our absolute favorite books (so far) of 2022.

These are all books I've read that I've loved even though not all were 5 stars.

Strictly Professional by Kathryn Nolan this was an unexpected 5 star CR, and has a follow-up with the FMCs sister which I still need to get to.

First Love, Take Two (The Trouble with Hating You, #2) by Sajni Patel a 5 star CR follow up to a 5 star CR that I read last year. I love this author's voice.

Under the Whispering Door by T.J. Klune a fav book by a fav author.

Ongoing series
I Married a Lizardman (Prime Mating Agency #1) by Regine Abel I Married a Naga (Prime Mating Agency #2) by Regine Abel I Married a Birdman (Prime Mating Agency, #3) by Regine Abel I Married a Merman (Prime Mating Agency #4) by Regine Abel I Married a Minotaur (Prime Mating Agency, #5) by Regine Abel I Married a Dragon (Prime Mating Agency, #6) by Regine Abel Super fun marriage of convenience alien/monster romances!!!

Lord of Population (Population #1) by Elizabeth Stephens Monster in the Oasis (Population #2) by Elizabeth Stephens Immortal with Scars (Population #3) by Elizabeth Stephens dark, gruesome, bloody, alien invasion post-apocalypse.

Veiled Threats (The Charm Collector, #0.5) by Melissa Erin Jackson Diabolical Sword (The Charm Collector, #1) by Melissa Erin Jackson Wicked Treasure (The Charm Collector, #2) by Melissa Erin Jackson Has now become my fav (non romance based) UF series ever! Also... a murdery sentient sword!!!

Completed series
Banshee's Honor (The Tales of Y'Myran, #1) by Shaylynn Rose Banshee’s Vengeance (The Tales of Y’Myran, #2) by Shaylynn Rose high fantasy with a romance sub plot, and a mildly sentient sword!

Wolf in the Shadows (The Legend of All Wolves #5) by Maria Vale Finale in the most unique shifter series I've ever read. I read the first four and the novella last year and could have kicked myself for leaving it so long. More people should read this series.

DemetraP | 129 comments Undertaking of Hart and Mercy.

Hero is a magical cop. Heroine is an undertaker who buries the dead and prepares them for burial. I thought this would be too weird for me but I really liked the book. You saw them fall in love. The Undertaking of Hart and Mercy by Megan Bannen
