Well, I don't thik slapping him would get you back together. I would try calmly talking to him. Tell him what you've told us: if he said he still wanted to be friends, then why is he cutting off contact? Ask him directly why he broke up with you, let him know that you're confused and upset with him. MAYBE let him know you still like him.
