We should put things on our bookshelves. Any thoughts?

It would be fun to include things on all/most of the OA read lists, but that seems hard to cross-reference (unless GR has a way of doing it automatically.)

We should definitely put things on our bookshelves. I agree with adding things most of us have read, but I don't know how to do it short of going through manually.

Having had a flick through the books I have in common with Frankie, Cai, Sushi, Tia and Quix/Katie I noticed several books/series cropping up more than once, but they were mostly just things that have been very popular relatively recently. Even within that small group I think the only books I had in common with everyone were the first 3 Harry Potter books, so I'm not sure how well a cross-reference would work even if it was possible (unless of course you can say that only a certain number of people need to have added the book for it to count).

We probably all have tons of book recs to make a shortlist, so maybe focus on one genre a week?

Maybe start with everyone's top five, then go from there?

Is there anyone here that could narrow it down to top five though? XD Even my "this book changed my life" has nine on it.

I could pretty easily, but I've had my top five figured out for years. It's a starting point, at least.

I like top five to start with, or "top five but we won't yell if you add more because we're readers too". Can non-mod members add to/create shelves? *goes to investigate*

Alright, guys, we have a favourites shelf! Go forth and add your books. We can apparently put in reasons for putting them there, too, but let's just call that optional.

It might be cool if we made some genre or fun category shelves. >_>

Ok, so been a while since I checked the group. Think I'm going to make the books on the shelf some of the next ones I get from the library and work my way though them all eventually.
