I’m doing a dark tower extended read and read Gunslinger, Drawing of the Three,Salem’s lot and now The Stand. Probably do Talisman next before The Wasteland but not sure. First time reading anything by King. Started 3 weeks ago.

Hi James - I would love to be your "The Stand" reading buddy. I have read the Dark Tower series (you are in for a treat), as well as Salem's Lot. When would you like to start and what time frame were you thinking of?Let me know if you're interested and have a great day,
Kris
Reading The Stand right now as I was recommended it before starting The Wastelands. I’m on chapter 21.
Me too, with g to he internet today there is no way they would be able to keep it secret either. Randall Flagg seems like where the fantasy starts I guess. Can’t tell if he’s a possible hero or the cause yet.
I have already gotten to the Stand and DT 1 - 3 this year. I might jump in if you all start Wizard and Glass. I am about 100-200 pages in.
Oh my! This Randall Flagg seems like he either is going to be the hero or the enemy that brings this sickness maybe? This is where the fantasy aspect begins I suppose.
Flagg and Mother Abigail are the last important magical centers. But little people may have some small magic too (even dogs).

I just finished The Stand and Eyes of the Dragon on my extended Dark Tower read through. Starting Talisman tomorrow next before continuing with The Wasteland.
I am about 50% through Wizard and Glass. Are you planning on jumping into Wizard and Glass after The Waste Lands?
Yes, I did The Stand, Salems lot, Gunslinger, drawing of the three, The Talisman, and next up is The Wastelands and Drawing of the Three
I also read Eyes of the Dragon before The Talisman. The Waste Lands
Wizard and Glass
Insomnia
Bag of Bones
The Wind Through the Keyhole
The Wolves of the Calla
Song of Susannah
Everything's Eventual (Eponymous story of
Everything's Eventual)
Low Men in Yellow Coats (Located in Hearts in Atlantis, though the entire book is suggested)
Starting Wastelands tonight.
Oh cool. I haven’t picked up Wizard and Glass since my last message but I think I will tomorrow, I might try Salem’s Lot and Insomnia before Wolves of the Calla. Let me know what you think of The Wastelands, there are a lot of really interesting scenes in that one.
I had previously read The Stand. Last month I started reading Stephen King again and started with Insomnia for some reason. Since then I've read Fairy Tail and Billy summers before I started my journey of the Dark Tower. I read Gunslinger, Drawing of the Three, Wastelands and just finished Wizard and Glass tonight. Wow! It's been great so far. Now I've started Salem's Lot and then will be reading other DT adjacent books and novellas before continuing with Wind Through the Keyhole and than books 5-7. Books I will probably read before that will be It, The Mist, Eyes of the Dragon, Everything's Eventual, Hearts in Atlantis, The Talisman, Black House and Rose Madder, Possibly re-reading The Stand, Desperation and The Regulators but I don't feel it's too important since I remember those pretty well. I feel like I've read that Salem's Lot, The Little Sisters of Euleria, Low Men in Yellow Coats, The Stand, Insomnia and Eyes of the Dragon are what I've READ are the most important stories to read that are related to Dark Tower. Other books like Cell, From a Buick 8 have some connections as well. I always love reading his books and noticing connections. Insomnia had several nods to his other books that I noticed before even reading any of the Dark Tower books.
