I am currently reading Anna Karenina by Leo Tolstoy.

i just finished my year of rest and relaxation and am starting the goldfinch!

For me, I just finished two books or plays; Emilia Galotti by G.E. Lessing and Hamlet by William Shakespeare. Emilia Galotti was not as bad a others told be beforehand yet I wouldn't read it again for sure.
Deciding what book to read next is always hard when you just finished reading another but I went for the secret history by Donna Tartt. I really hope it's as good as people say!

Definitely one of my favorite contemporary novels. Have you read The Goldfinch? I presumed TSH was going to be Donna Tartt's masterpiece until I read The Goldfinch.
