If I missed Jane or another Mod answering or messaging you - my apologies and go with whatever they said :-)

For your questions:

1. What do we do then? Do we do separate selection and completion posts?
We don't need separate posts for the selections and the read. We all typically list out which books we've selected from the picks sent to us, noting who had made the pick for us, and then note the date read.
Some of us will also note a star rating or other items if we'd like to.
This challenge is great as it is go at your own pace, and create on your own. You can see how different members have noted reads and such if you pop over to the current open reading thread which is here:

2. What all should be include in that or those posts...rating, review, broken link, date completed?
For whatever information you'd like to track here, you just need to come to your original comment and update as needed. Towards the end of November and into the first week of December we'll update what we've read, condense it down into a new comment and mark it as "Books read for Round 54"

3. Why does it look like some people already have completed books posted?
This may be due to the way each player has their selections set up. I can see where it may appear that some of us have started reading as there are both links and book covers shown. I also noticed a lot of familiar names in here so these may also be lists from the prior round that participants have pasted over to "hold" their spot in order to build off of. Overall, this challenge is a relaxed one and a "read at your own pace" one. The overall goal is to try and read 5 or more books from the list that your group has picked for you. Books for this round begin counting as of October 1st. Books for the last round (Round 53) can be started before October 1st but finished on or after October 1st.
