Adaptation: Book VS Film discussion

If anyone is in another group with Kerry would you please ask her to contact me?

I think this is a great premise and I would like to get this group moving again. I moderate a couple other groups and have a few good ideas for this group also.

I have a message in to Kerry, but as of yet have received no answer. From her profile it does not look like she is too active in Goodreads anymore. I would like to converse with her about this group.

It has been over 2 weeks since I sent Kerry a message about either co-Moderating or taking over this group. I am going to give it just a few more days and then I think I will just start my own group relating to book to movie adaptations. I have not had the time to start a brand new group and had hoped to take this group and rework it - striving for new levels and interests.

If that is the case I will come back and invite everyone to check out the new group - one that will not go stagnant - or be left without a Moderator.

Again if anyone knows Kerry please have her get in touch with me. Once I start on a new group and begin to build threads I will not be interested in taking over this group.

Ok - long enough! Still no word from Kerry! By the end of this month, or thereabouts, I will have a brand new Book to Movie group up and running. I have been doing some behind the scenes planning and gathering. However my library just called to tell me that 3 books I had put on hold are now in - 3 books that total over 1600 pages of reading. So that is going to keep me busy some of the time...lol! However I will be featuring a new group by Nov 5th. Please stay tuned and I hope you will check it out once I come back with the invitation.

Oh this was very disappointing!!! I wanted to give each and every one of you in this membership a chance to know about and be able to check out my new Book to Movie group. So I tried to message each of you. At least 98% of you are not receiving messages! Did you know that? I find it hard to believe that no one - not Kerry or any other Moderator of any group you may be in - has kept you up to date as to all the changes that Goodreads has made - is still going to make - and how they effect you and your account! Believe me I will keep you up to date - IF I can get a message to you!!!! There, of course, are those who think they need a private profile - I ask - who are they hiding from??? There is so awful much that they miss out on when they have a private profile - so not much anyone can do for them!! Then there is also a lot of authors in this group. Unless you befriend them you cannot get a message to them either - too bad! So I am asking anyone that did get a message from me to also inform others - both friends from this group and any one else interested in Books to Movies - please look for my new group - "Page to Screen" coming in early November. Thanks and - Keep Watching...

Due to a death in the family my new group may be delayed by a few days. Still planning to start one, but it may be next week before I can roll it out. Thanks for understanding.

FINALLY! Altho bare bones right now "Page to Screen" is ready for members. We can grow together!

Hello Sandi, I have messaged you back.
Many people have private profiles due to not wanting to be stalked in an ever increasingly unsafe cyber world.
It is everyone's choice as to how they want to use their online recreation. I myself have had personal issues and traumas which took me away from moderating - hence the absence.
But previously to 2020 I was a very active GR member since 2013.

I am glad you opened your own page, however if you would like to moderate. please do message me.
