mmm... Looks like Charlene's list, but I think she already read the first one...so might be someone else.We are going on vacation and back the 10th, so will then decide which one I will read.
Another good list . . . it was a difficult choice, but I'm going to go with The Prophet: Amos
.
Interesting that you are thinking this is Charlene's list, Sarita . . . now that you mention it, I can definitely see that, though my initial guess was Loraine.🙂

I think it might be my list Kate! And I am choosing the same book you are.

I finished it; and if you read my review, I had some trouble with content as well. But I did finish it. I think you have to decide your own sensibilities as I found some of the descriptions a little too much for mine and included that in my review as well as lowering the rating I gave it. This was my first read by this author, and I don't know that I would read any others.

Thank you! My discernment check wants me to pause, but perhaps I’ll finish it another time when I’m mentally prepared for it.
His book, “The Pawn,” was great, so maybe I’ll try the next book in that series. Or some lighter reading like Nancy Mehl (haha) since I have one of her books checked out.

I am in the middle of the Patrick Bowers Series. I like it a lot, but agree it wouldn't appeal to everyone due to some of the content. Like Loraine said, it's good to go with your own comfort level with a novel as a guide.

This was an excellent book but if you are a sensitive reader, not for you. He gave enough detail to give you the idea of what evil was done but never more that could haunt you.
Finished The Prophet: Amos
just now, and while I can't say that I truly 'enjoyed' it (who enjoys hearing about prophecies of destruction upon unrepentant people, especially when you know that the people did NOT ultimately repent?), I appreciated the invitation to make sure that my own heart and life are right before the Lord.

The goal is to read one or more of the books that our reader missed in 2021. If you've read all of these, can't access them, not interested, etc., an alternative is to read a different book by one of the authors above. The reader can choose to reveal, but that's not required.
There is a thread to track your forgotten books for the year if you'd like.
