Kyla Mitchell (kylabrynn) It is important to learn about other people and to see how events effect different people in different ways. We can make sure that all kinds of authors are recognized and that a variety of books are advertised in bookstores and online.

Riley Lepley | 1 comments Literature offers a unique window into others life’s with a vulnerability that is difficult to achieve through the use of alternative medias. When we read someone’s story we get the opportunity to connect with someone and empathize with their experiences helping us to be more understanding people. To promote these important voices that need to be heard we can spread awareness of diverse authors works, take time to read their books, and share with others.

To promote authors from different sociology-economic we can close the education gap, allowing more people to effectively practice the art of writing. Currently the rich have a huge advantage over the poor with respect to training and resources, but that doesn’t mean that other perspectives don’t matter.

message 21: by rena (new)

rena | 1 comments Reading literature from different perspectives is important because you can see things from a wider view. Society can promote authors through social media by giving interesting snip-its of books or even just talking about it.

message 22: by Taryn (new)

Taryn Zerby | 1 comments Reading literature from different perspectives is important because it helps us see varying sides of the story giving us a broader viewpoint of the story through the characters represented. Then through those characters we can learn more about society and different cultures and experience things we may have never experienced ourselves. We can help uplift different more underrepresented authors through things like social media and groups so then we can spread information about different obscure parts of society.

message 23: by Mindy (new)

Mindy Liu | 1 comments Reading literature from a variety of perspectives can give a sense of substitution of different situation that unfolds before our eyes. Not only do we have the common 'first, 'second', and 'third' POV, but also gender, age, and cultural outlook of the world that is described in words, sentences, and pages.
Society can promote authors by showing their support, and according to the dictionary, 'relating to or concerned with the interaction of social and economic factors.' Which is—I forgot this isn't an essay prompt, lol.

message 24: by Ava McWilliams (new)

Ava McWilliams | 1 comments Reading literature from multiple different perspectives is important because it exposes the reader to situations that may be different from their own. This can provide awareness and understanding of society as a whole. This can be promoted through social media, and book recommendations.
