Good News on Amazon Ebook Returns

That IS good news. I mistakenly thought that was the policy all along though. Thanks for sharing this.

Excellent to hear. There were a couple months where I had more returns those months than entire years before then. It cut into my little profit. I don't mind people returning if they don't like a book, but this went beyond the pale.
I agree, Theresa. The old way was like stealing. They know they could read almost the entire book free then claim they didn't like it and just return it. That made no sense.

Maybe I should start a new thread for this question, but do you know if they have changed their policy with verified reviews crossing marketplaces? e.g. if you have a verified review in the UK it showing in the US?
E.K., you can also ask this question on the "BOOK PROMOTION SITES: The ones that actually work" thread. Someone who knows the answer will definitely see it there.
I don't see too many returns, but I do get one every now and again. I've never been sure if that meant the customer didn't like the book, didn't read the book, or was a fast reader in search of freebies. I expect this will be a good change that will help ensure authors are fairly compensated for their work while still giving customers a reasonable chance to change their minds about a purchase.
