Do you consider audiobooks "reading" (for lack of a better term) or not?

After reading hundreds of books, I have found there are very few books worth actually reading. There are only so many plots. Going with the audio you can get so much more done, enjoy a good narrator, and consume more content. I retain much more listening than reading. I figure I can always re-read the physical if it bothers me that much.
