- A large warehouse that was completely abandoned. There are several boxes that have quite a bit supplies if one looks for them here.

message 2: by James (new)

James Burton Jay popped his head through the door looking around. He had been wandering for a long time and finally found this place. "Seems quiet enough." He said, walking in and taking a deep breath. "Let's see what we find."

message 3: by [deleted user] (new)

Ren had his eyes focused on the ground as he moved, keeping quiet and muting his breaths as best he could. He was on edge after nearly encountering a violent group of travelers and came here in order to escape them. Well, and to also escape the increasing pain that racked his head. It seemed like 'he' was eager to jump up whenever danger came close and had taken a liking to annoying Ren as much as possible. Well, the boy was intent on not letting him have the satisfaction.
He moved past some rotting poles and kept near the sides of the building, making sure the remaining boxes were nearby. If anything popped up, he was prepared to hide behind them and avoid any unwanted confrontation. He froze when he heard some faint footsteps and checked over his shoulder, seeing a young man enter the warehouse. It didn't seem like he was spotted yet so Ren moved as quickly as he could behind one of the boxes.

As if luck would have it, he accidentally bumped into it and caused it to move forward, causing a rather loud scuffling sound. So much for being quiet. He peered out at the man and wondered if he noticed yet.

message 4: by James (new)

James Burton Jay looked towards the noise. "Great. We have company." He thought getting low and staying still. He watched the boxes for movement for motion the slowly got up and got closer to them. "Ello? Anyone there?" He whispered looking around them.

message 5: by [deleted user] (new)

Yup, he noticed. Ren nervously cracked a few fingers as he stepped out, trying to calm down his increasing headaches as well. Knock it off, he thought to the demon despite the likelihood he would listen. He looked up to the stranger, examining him carefully with his sepia eyes. He was rather short and didn't appear to be a threat, but Ren couldn't bring himself to lower his guard. People weren't always what they seemed, after all.
'Yeah, I am. Who are you?' he asked, putting on an air of confidence.

message 6: by James (new)

James Burton Jay stared at him. "Taller. Not a good fight for me." He thought looking at the guy, then crossed his arms. "What's it to ya?" Jay asked backing up slowly in case he needed to get away. He kept his hand on his pistol in case he needed to fight his way out.

message 7: by [deleted user] (last edited Mar 01, 2015 04:49PM) (new)

Ren glanced at the boy's hand, only now noticing the gun he held. He didn't have friendly experiences with the weapon and knew he had to keep this conversation civil. Hopefully, the demon would choose that as well. 'Nothing, I'm just wondering. I'm only moving through here so I guess it doesn't matter,' he dismissed. As a cold breeze blew in from one of the windows, he stuffed his hands into his pockets. 'Are you passing through too?'

message 8: by James (new)

James Burton Jay stayed quiet, looking around. He didn't know if this was a trap, but he wasn't willing to find that out. He shook his head no and let go of his gun. He walked past looking at the boxes, seeing if there were any goods in them. He noticed nothing and turned back towards the guy. He looked like a friend, but looks can be deceiving.

message 9: by [deleted user] (last edited Mar 02, 2015 03:59PM) (new)

Seeing as he didn't reply with words, Ren assumed he didn't want to talk any further. As the boy went one way, he decided to linger around the opposite end of the warehouse. There wasn't much to discover here aside from old equipment and what looked like parts of a stapler. The boxes seemed to be the highlight of this place. Ren turned back around and saw that Jay was staring at him. He let his gaze wander off to the side, somewhat uncomfortable with the awkward mood, and wondered if he'd say anything.

message 10: by James (new)

James Burton "Why are you here?" Jay asked, taking a step closer to him. He wasn't sure what this guy was going to do, but he wanted to find out. "Nervous?" He asked seeing his eyes flying around.

message 11: by [deleted user] (new)

Ren looked back at Jay and shrugged, though grew somewhat defensive. 'I'm just wandering around when I came by here. Why would I be nervous?' he replied. He winced as he felt some pain in his head but brushed it off, ignoring it as best as he could.

message 12: by James (new)

James Burton "Your eyes keep wandering. Signs of nervous or secrecy. Guessing both." He said keeping his sentences short. He wanted to finish this quickly but he knew this person could be useful.

message 13: by [deleted user] (new)

Ren didn't say anything at first and instead opted to readjust his scarf. 'It's probably just nerves. I'm not hiding anything,' he replied quickly, then realized the small mistake he made. He then added as a retort, 'Honestly, you're just as suspicious to me.'

message 14: by James (new)

James Burton Jay laughed. "What have I done?" he asked, leaning against a box. "Whats's your name?"

message 15: by [deleted user] (last edited Mar 02, 2015 04:45PM) (new)

'You avoided that same question I asked you earlier. Plus, you've got a gun and I'm unarmed,' Ren pointed out. Well, he wasn't really unarmed but he didn't have any real weapons on him. The only thing he had aside from his abilities was a knife and it wouldn't fair well against the pistol. He still stuck by his refusal, though, and directed his question back at him, 'You tell me first and then I'll tell you my name.'

message 16: by James (new)

James Burton "I'm Agent. That's all you need to know." He said, drawing his pistol. He looked at it for a bit, then looked back at the man. "Your turn."

message 17: by [deleted user] (new)

Ren paused for a moment to think of an alias. 'Just call me Kei for now. I doubt we'll meet each other again anyways,' he replied, holding back his real name. He noticed as the man drew out his gun but didn't seem as nervous about it as he should be. Instead, he casually touched his forehead as if moving away some clumps of hair. He was really trying to settle his headache once again, feeling that thing stir in his mind at the sight of the weapon. 'Any other dying question you have?' he asked as normally as he could.

message 18: by James (new)

James Burton "Well, not that I can think of. Why? Anxious to leave?" Jay asked curiously. He wanted to leave to but this would be a shot to have someone watch his back. He needed him, even though it would only be for a little bit. But even someone watching his back wouldn't be bad.

message 19: by [deleted user] (new)

Ren raised an eyebrow, having recovered from that brief episode. 'Kinda, I guess. I don't like to stay in one place for too long,' he explained. He looked off to the side for a brief moment to try to think of another question to ask, but came up with nothing creative so he looked back at Jay. 'Are you?' he suggested.

message 20: by James (new)

James Burton "No. I'm looking for someone. That's all." He said putting his gun away. "Join me?" he asked holding his hand out. "I need someone to watch my back. This place ain't safe for one person."

message 21: by [deleted user] (new)

I'm not just one person though, Ren thought to himself but didn't say anything. He looked down as he thought about his offer. It was easy to decline, since he barely knew the guy, but it would be better to travel with another person. He shrugged and answered, 'It wouldn't be for long, though. I need to find something too.' He looked in thought before adding, 'If you don't mind then I'll join you.'

message 22: by James (new)

James Burton Jay shook his head. He turned and headed towards some boxes in the corner. "Take a look around and see what you can find." he said finding a few bullets but nothing else. He kept looking making sure to check on Kei every now and then. "For all I know, this guy is a robber or assassin." He thought and sighed

message 23: by [deleted user] (new)

Ren walked over to the boxes near him and glanced inside, but there wasn't anything of use. He didn't bother checking the others since he wasn't interested in its contents. If this guy wanted to look through this stuff, he could just do it himself. 'There's not going to be anything useful around here,' he remarked.

message 24: by James (new)

James Burton "There's always something useful. Just got to find a use for it." He said sighing. He was hoping there would be more but even if there wasn't he would have to be careful. He wanted to get some warmer supplies and even shoes since his were pretty old. "You got a weapon?"

message 25: by [deleted user] (last edited Mar 03, 2015 02:41PM) (new)

Ren didn't answer Agent's deep statement but roughly agreed with his words. He doubted boxes had any real use in their situation, though. At his next question, the boy reached into his pocket and pulled out a knife. 'I only have this, but it's all I really need,' he replied.

message 26: by James (new)

James Burton Jay laughed. "Really? That's it?" He asked looking at it. "If you say so." He said looking through another box seeing nothing. "There's bound to be more in here." He said quietly to himself

message 27: by [deleted user] (new)

'Yup. If anything, it's just backup,' Ren added. It probably did seem a bit silly wielding only a knife, but it wasn't his only protection. He wasn't interested in using his abilities so he decided to keep them hidden for now.
Looking around at the nearby boxes, Ren decided to try again. He pushed aside some smaller, heavier cardboard and found one filled with broken bits of metal. Another carried what looked like cloth, but once he lifted it he saw it was a dusty jacket. He already had one in his backpack so he turned to Jay and asked tentatively, 'Do you want this?'

message 28: by James (new)

James Burton Jay looked at it and nodded. "It'll do for now." He said looking at his jacket. His jacket had become a bit dirty and ripped here and there but having a spare wasn't too bad. He grabbed and put it in his bag. He needed to keep it light so he would be more manuverable.

message 29: by [deleted user] (new)

After the other boy took the jacket, Ren looked through some other boxes in case he'd be lucky enough to find other supplied. 'I think it's really unlikely we'll find something else. People probably took the rest,' he remarked.

message 30: by James (new)

James Burton "You never know, but you might be right." Jay said looking through another box and seeing nothing. "Where do you think we should go then?"

message 31: by [deleted user] (last edited Mar 04, 2015 03:40PM) (new)

'I'm not sure. I usually just keep walking until I find a town where I can stay for a night or ask about...things,' Ren replied. He nearly mentioned his real problems but reminded himself to keep his anonymity. It was probably better that Agent only knew what was important. 'Is there anywhere you need to go?'

message 32: by James (new)

James Burton "Nope. I just wander like you, looking for a friend." He said looking out the door. "Let's stay here for tonight. It's getting dark and I'd rather not be out at that time when people come out." He hated people but some were different

message 33: by [deleted user] (new)

Ren nodded at his suggestion. Wandering outside during the dark was difficult, not to mention dangerous. If he ultimately had to travel by night, he usually convinced the demon to and hoped things would go well. 'Sounds good to me,' he agreed.

(( its fine with me. these two guys arent really doing much right now other than setting up camp. just have her find the warehouse and maybe walk in or something ))

message 36: by James (new)

James Burton Jay sat there in a corner jst watching every thing. Today hadn't gone according to plan and he was ticked. He needed those supplies for today. He had plenty but he was running out fast. Especially if he had to find his friend later who for all he knew could be dead. "Don't think like that." he said to himself while mumbling something incoherrent

DarknessIsUponUs | 37 comments Ayala creeps up onto the warehouse. She is cold and hungry after being in the wastelands for the last 5 hours. she hears voices inside just before she is about to enter. She stops, her hand resting on the door (lol, is there even a door??). She turns around and pokes around the side of the building, she sees a window and climbs up to it, once she is halfway up she loses her grip and falls to the ground in a heap.

message 43: by James (new)

James Burton Jay hears a noise and gets up looking around. He walks outside and looked around. He started to walk along the wall and saw a girl on the ground. He took his pistol out and stood there. "Who are you?" he asked staying back

message 44: by [deleted user] (last edited Mar 08, 2015 04:30PM) (new)

(( do you and bakura mind deleting the ooc chat? it shouldnt be in arp thread.
Also ayala fell into the warehouse through the window, not outside it ))

Ren had found a sturdy small table and was sitting on it, not really feeling sleepy. He had already ate some of the food he brought and for now was just resting. Suddenly, he heard something crash into some boxes near a window and stood up rapidly to see what it was. There was a girl sitting there but he didn't take any time to discern whether she was a threat or not. Carefully, he walked to her, letting shadows gather defensively around his feet in case she attacked. Jay had already asked who she was by then so Ren stayed quiet and waited for her answer.

message 45: by DarknessIsUponUs (new)

DarknessIsUponUs | 37 comments "Ab..." she stops before giving these people the name she is calledd in the capital, "Ayala, and you?" She asks, before looking around the room, she sees a table and a small amount of food, she begins to walk over to it

message 46: by [deleted user] (new)

Ren kept his eyes on her as she spoke a name. He eventually learned after a week of wandering that people didn't ever use their real name. So, he'd become accustomed to giving out an alias himself and knowing that people had their own secrets to hide.
'I'm Kei. And that food is mine. Don't eat it,' he replied with a warning tone. It was a portion of what he bought from the last town he was in and wasn't keen on having her take any of it. Plus, his bag was rested against one of the table's legs and had all of his supplies in it. He followed Ayala quietly, ready with a quick reaction in case she tried anything suddenly.

message 47: by James (new)

James Burton Jay put his pistol away and looked at both of them. He went back to his corner and sat there closing his eyes. He hated when people appeared out of nowhere

message 48: by DarknessIsUponUs (new)

DarknessIsUponUs | 37 comments Ayala stops and turns around to face 'Kei', "Sorry, I just haven't eaten all day. I suppose I can starve in silence," she says mockingly, she walks back over to the window she fell through and leans out, to pick up her fallen backpack that contained her food, weapons and rations that she had brought with her. She picked it up and pulled herself back through the window

message 49: by [deleted user] (new)

Ren narrowed his eyes. 'Then just ask politely. I'm not stingy or anything.' He then saw her pick her stuff back up and start heading out of the window. What was the point in making the effort to climb inside, then? 'Wait, why are you leaving all of a sudden?'

message 50: by DarknessIsUponUs (new)

DarknessIsUponUs | 37 comments "Well, it didn't seem like you wanted me here. But if you insist." she pulles herself back inside the room and walks over to the food, "Do you mind?" she asks motioning to the food. She might have her own but that was for the people ... if there were any left
