I loved every moment of Jules, but my favorite is his accompanying Max to Hamburg and supporting him throughout. There are several Jules's in this book due to all of the flashbacks. The Jules in the flashbacks is vulnerable (as we see from Hot Target) but the current day Jules has had it with Adam (and perhaps even Robin at this point).
I love Jules. He better get that promotion. He more than deserves it. Adam will always be the one who Jules loved and taught Jules what he needs and wants. I don't think Adam has that power over Jules anymore. Although, I felt that Jules was over him when Adam used him in Hollywood. I'm not sure which moment is his finest. I loved how he stood by Max in every way. He was the superior negotiator in this story. He went to Germany with Max. He put himself in danger to draw the threat away from Max et al. Jules managed to get help when it didn't look like he would survive. I'll say it again--I love him.
He deserves that promotion. I really liked the Jules we see in this book. I believe that this is Jules as he really is. He is stronger for this experience, and I believe he is done with Adam and will find someone who can match his strength. My favorite part was Jules pulling himself from the wreck and killing Testa.
Yes, yes, yes to everything you’ve all said!
I love Jules who loves hard and is absolutely loyal to those he cares about. He’s smart, resourceful and is unapologetic about his identity. He’s not afraid to just be himself.
I still worry, though, about his vulnerability to Adam. Those billboards sent him into a tailspin. I really, really hope I’m wrong.

Jonetta, I thought those billboards were reminders of the hurt from his relationship with Adam. I hope he won't travel down that path again. However, Jules is loyal to a fault. I pray he isn't taken in by Adam again that could break Jules.
