Hey everyone! so I run a bookish discord server that is ya based and my two admins and I are trying to come up with a book for our November BOTM. we want to have a book that sheds light on the Native Americans. Can anyone suggest some good ya books centered around Native American culture?

brady buell ahhhh i have a really really good one… it’s called killers of the flower moon. this book sheds a lot of light on violence against the osage people.

Eren Granger don't know if people look at old recommendation pages but here's my favs! I'm from Canada so these are more Canada specific ☺️ the marrow thieves is a 2 book dystopian series by Cherie dimaline, first book I ever read where I felt truly seen and the first time I saw a métis character in a book. from the ashes by Jesse Thistle is a memoir about his life growing up métis and experiencing homelessness, he also has a poetry book called stars and scars which is really good. The Strangers by katherena Vermette is a book that follows various members of a Metis family but the main focus is the interconnectedness of them all. all these books are pretty heavy and have a lot of possibly triggering content so check beforehand if your going to be able to read them
