Introduce yourself!
Great to be here! You've encouraged me to rediscover my love of nonfiction and I love to see what you are reading and recommending.
Hi, I am Sophiene and I already participated last year. This year I will be participating too. I am not sure yet which books to read, but I love nature nonfiction, so that will be included for sure.
I am a librarian living on Aruba, so I have lots of nonfiction books at my fingertips. It will be fun to browse the stacks and find something to fit the prompts.
Have a fun nonfiction november!
lovely! I'm personally a fantasy lover myself, however, nonfiction has been growing on me immensely. I just picked up a boxset of "The way of the samurai", "the book of five rings", and "the art of war". please excuse my grammar, my baby is crying. that's my nonfiction November.
Hi! I'm Darya. I've been participating in this year's Nonfiction Group challenge and decided to join this monthly challenge too. 98% of the books I read are nonfiction, mainly history, memoirs, and politics. I post my reviews here and on Amazon. My Tweeter handle is @DaryaSilman.
Hello. I am Prerna. I usually read fiction, but very happy to be participating this year. You can find me on instagrams kindle_o_phile. I haven’t planned anything yet, looking for recommendations!
Hi All, I’m Nicole and this will be my fourth Nonfiction November…I think. I look forward to this event so much! I love nonfiction and the challenge topics are always so interesting. I especially like how they’re open to interpretation so we can really explore the challenge topics. I’m looking forward to seeing what everyone is reading!
Hi fellow book lovers! I’m Denise LaRosa. I have a Booktube channel, LaRosa Reads, and this is my first time officially participating in Nonfiction November! Nonfiction used to be my overall genre of choice. My goal is to reconnect with nonfiction books by participating in the challenges, chatting in community with other nonfiction readers, and catching up on my nonfiction TBR. I’m so happy to be here!!!!
This will be fun!I'm Linda and I live Wisconsin. after 31 years working fir a national health insurance company, I chose early retirement. I now work at the public library, which is my dream job.
I am an avid reader and have to catch up on several nonfiction books!
Hi! I’m Hannah. All I read is non-fiction so I’d be happy to participate. I’m from Indiana, I’m a pediatric therapist, and I’m in grad school! You can connect with me on IG: @hannahxrizzo
Hey everyone, I'm Ron. I participated in this last year and it was a blast. I generally read a lot of nonfiction. So far within this year I've read 85% nonfiction. My goal is to get to at least 90 but that may be a little tricky since I'll be taking literature classes this coming term and they focus on fiction. Hoping to fit in some of my own side reading somehow.I live in Tx by the way (not the best place to live these days).
I saw the topics and I can't wait to see how I bend and play with them. I love how they can be interpreted in so many different ways and ideas.
Looking forward to chatting with you all and seeing what kinds of books you/we choose.
My Twitter is @Rons_Reads
Hi everyone! I'm Camila, I joined booktube last year (channel: Haste Ye Books) which is when I heard about Non-Fiction November through Olive, and first joined in. Very excited for this year and for the 4 new words! I'm planning to read exclusively NF for the month and have some books lined up, mostly about travel, feminism, immigration and Scotland (which is where I'm currently based).
I'm the daughter of a refugee, I'm an immigrant to Scotland and I work in brand and travel, which I guess is why those topics interests me the most.
I like the topic of 'Border' but I want to do something different. There are so many books regarding the Texas/Mexico border and those issues have been in the news constantly so I kind of want to get away from that.I'll see what I can come up with.
My name is Robynne. I live in Canada and i usually read mostly non fiction. Mostly history and Biography/Memoir. So I am busy making up a new TBR for non fiction November. I love watching Olive's videos on booktube!!

Hi I'm Ashleigh from Canada, this is I think my 3rd Nonfiction November. Excited to be part of it again.
@Robynne: Your suggestions, especially when you suggested the word 'edge', got me going in a similar direction. I looked up synonyms for the word 'border' and came up with a few that could certainly work.
Hello! I'm Rebecca. This is my third or fourth Nonfiction November! No idea what I'll be reading yet.
Hi, I'm Divya, i stay in Southern India. Great to be here. i haven't been able to read much nonfiction this year but I'm hoping it will change in the coming months thanks to all your great recommendations :)
Hi I'm Melissa, from the west coast of Canada. I love the idea of nonfiction November, this is my first one, I do read some nonfiction but am liking the idea of reading even more nonfiction!
Hi! I'm Angela and I have participated in Nonfiction November to some degree for the last several years. It's my favorite reading event of the year. I have tons of nonfiction waiting for me on what seems to be a mountain of unread books. I look forward to playing with the prompts to see how I can get them all to fit with the books I already have.
I admit, however, that I have SO MANY books about musicians and the music industry, that I am tempted to make the entire month all about the prompt "Record." LOL
I just ordered 2 books for some of the topics. I want books other than what I already own, just to make it a bit more fun that way. This is what I got so far.
Record: The Big Bang Theory: The Definitive, Inside Story of the Epic Hit Series
Border: Indians in the United States and Canada: A Comparative History
My name is Regitze, I’m from Denmark and I think this is my third Nonfiction November. I kind of stopped reading nonfiction after I was done with uni, so for me Nonfiction November is usually about rediscovering nonfiction and which topics and areas I like to read about.
Hello everyone ! I'm Christine and living in Belgium. This will be my first non-fiction November.
I love reading non-fiction but the last year I've been trying to get some kind of balance between non-fiction and fiction (mostly it's fantasy books I read).
I'm looking forward to participate ! :)
This is my first year doing non-fiction November. I love nonfiction books I was going to say I love historical nonfiction… But that’s history isn’t it? I was going to start the book unchecked about trying to impeach Trump but I’m going to save it for November I also want to read Civil War by other means, cancel culture and A book called which side are you on about an Asian American who went around LA with his mother interviewing people about ways to make life better. I have many more but those are my top contenders. I am so excited about being a part of nonfiction November and will be checking in with the group the closer we get to November. So exciting!
It's the most wonderful time of the year!!!
I'm Jill, AKA The Book Bully on YouTube and Instagram. As always, I'm really looking forward to NFN. I always read a pretty good balance of nonfiction but I love seeing what everyone else reads in November and finding more and more books to add to my TBR.
My favourite nonfiction book - and my favourite book ever - is SAY NOTHING by Patrick Radden Keefe. It is a masterpiece IMHO!

Hi. I’m Nancy. I live in NYC, love reading, and especially love nonfiction, so much so that I look forward to Nonfiction November the way I used to look forward to Christmas: my absolutely favorite time of the year! I’ve been (quietly) participating in Nonfiction November since its inception however, although I was very excited by my TBRs in 2020 and 2021, due to Covid I was not able to participate successfully. In fact, last year I don’t think I completed a single book on my list. And, although I usually read mostly nonfiction, lately that has not been the case. :-(
For those reasons, I plan to read (almost?) exclusively nonfiction during the month of November. Also, perhaps for the same reasons, my TBR this year seems to be focused on books about public health. It’s a subject I find incredibly interesting, particularly as it intersects with history.
Hi Everyone! My name is Nicole and I hail from the Grand Canyon State. I am so excited for NFN this year. I've been a follower of Olive for the last 4-5 years. She has definitely been a motivator for the types of books I read.I tend to read a good amount of non-fiction books. This year 67% of my reading list is non-fiction AND 45% of the books I read are memoirs.
I think I am going to challenge myself this NFN by choosing books that are NOT memoirs. I have plenty on my bookshelf, I just need to decide how to incorporate the reading prompts.
ALWAYS LOOKING FOR NEW BOOK FRIENDS...ADD ME!

Say Nothing has been on my TBR for a while now. I'm going to try to read PRK's Empire of Pain this NFN. Sorry for the acronym bombardment, lol.
Hi I'm new to all things 'booktube' and I kind of fell down the booktube rabbit hole. I am a voracious reader and like fiction books but I enjoy reading a variety of nonfiction books. I enjoy reading memoirs, big fan of Jennifer Lancaster. I was invited to join this wonderful section of the internet by Olive. I have picked out my books for November to start off with on the prompts but Nonfiction November gives me a great excuse to put down fiction and pick up the numerous nonfiction books I have laying around.
I plan to start off with: If the Oceans were Ink, Secrets of Divine Love, Why not me and Threading my prayer rug. I also have on my TBR for the month Becoming, Highest Duty and All's Fair: Love, War and Running for President. I'm sure I will be adding more to it after Olive's next video.

I'm a fan of Japanese culture, a Kendo (Japanese Fencing) student and a Japanese Language student
Hello, I’m Natalia and I’m from Australia. This is my first time doing NFN, but I already love reading non-fiction books every month. My goal is to get really creative with how I interpret the prompts! In general, my reading goal is to read as diversely as possible, and to support women writers, so I’ll be applying that to NFN too. I already have some ideas stewing!
Hi I’m Penelope and happy again to participate in this year’s Non Fiction November. Love seeing what everyone is reading so looking forward to i it.
I’m Lindsey from the Chicago suburbs. This is my first non fiction November but I’ve been following olive for a couple of years and was planning on doing it. The invite came at a great time! I’m not sure what I’ll read yet. I love celebrity memoirs but I’d love to branch out and read different styles of nonfiction.
Hi! I'm Floor from The Netherlands, I've been participating since 2018 I think if I remember correctly. Since then I try to read at least 1 nonfic per month and in November 2 or more. I always have one on the go anyway, but some take longer to finish. This year my plans are to read the nonfiction review copies that have been sitting on my tbr cart since last year (oops). It's time to finally get them read and reviewed. They are all Dutch though, but maybe there are some fellow Dutchies here to share them with!
I have a Dutch booktube channel called Tussen de Boeken and you can find me on Twitter and Instagram too as @tussendeboeken
I’m really looking forward to challenging myself a little more in nonfiction reading. I’m Tanya from Florida. I usually read one to two nonfiction books each month, along with several more fiction books, but would like to test my ability to find a good read for each of the prompts this time around.
Hello! I am Gina, and I live in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania in the U.S. This is my first time participating in this challenge, and while I do read nonfiction, I go through cycles, and at present, I am reading mostly fiction. I have not yet decided if i will attempt all four prompts, nor I have set my book list.
Hi. I am Suzanne, new to Goodreads. In the past I have sprinkled in the odd nonfiction book, but I have become a subscriber to Olive’s YouTube channel and that has sparked my interest in reading more nonfiction. My goal is one nonfiction book (achievable goals!) but if I can I plan to read more than one. Looking forward to this!
Hello, I'm Fred (from Canada). I've taken part in nonfiction November before, but this will be my first time as a Booktuber :)Looking forward to reading and discussing my two picks this year: The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks (Skloot), and Immune (Dettmer).
It's going to be a great month :)

I have Immortal Life on my list as well. Happy Reading!
Hi, I'm Cheryl from Connecticut. I can do this! That's what I keep telling myself. I'm a mostly fiction reader but I want to broaden my horizons. Deciding on my selections to meet the prompts.
More suggestionsElement
There are lots of Non fiction books about the Higgs-Boson particle - which is kind of like an element, I think.
Also I notice a few books listed about CERN and their collider as well. I think I am in the mood to read something about Physics in November. LOL
You know I just thought of another word that we can use for Element!! ELEMENTARY!!!
That has SO many other possibilities - not the least of which includes - schools, education and the basics or beginning knowledge of high school or university subjects.
I have not included that famous detective since he is fictional, not real!!
I'm Melissa, participating in my second year of Nonfiction November from Wichita, Kansas. I'm a blogger.
Greetings NonFiction lovers, I’m Columbus and I live in metro Atlanta. I’m a literary/historical fiction guy generally but I’ve been reading A LOT more NF in the last 5 years or so.My tastes are all over the place from reading about dinosaurs The Rise and Fall of the Dinosaurs: A New History of a Lost World, to Just Kids and the incredible They Were Her Property: White Women as Slave Owners in the American South. I’m currently reading The Art of Teaching Children: All I Learned from a Lifetime in the Classroom and really enjoying it. I’m not a teacher myself but the book is geared to both teachers and parents alike (or anyone really). It’s informative, incredibly humorous and really entertaining.I’ve never participated in NonFiction November before but i’m looking forward to it this year. I’m active on IG under GiovanniColtrane. Stop by and say hello!

I'll start! You may know me already, but I'm Olive Fellows. I'm a long-time booktuber, a freelance book reviewer, and I LOVE nonfiction books! Back in 2015, I wasn't seeing nonfiction get the love that fiction did on Booktube (and across the internet in general), so I decided to use the magic of alliteration to hopefully entice people into giving the genre a chance. Now Nonfiction November is in its eighth year and has become a rather big online event!
My goal for the event, as always, is to pick up exclusively nonfiction during the month of November (that's not a requirement of the event, just something I like challenging myself to do), so I'll be doing that as long as I don't need to write about a work of fiction for any of my freelance reviews.
Throughout the month, you can catch me talking about nonfiction on all the Nonfiction November socials: @NonficNovember on Twitter, @nonfictionnovember on TikTok and @nonfictionnovember on Instagram, where we're having a post-per-day photo challenge! You can also come dive into some nonfiction books with me over on the new literary app called Threadable - my circle name is "Olive the books."
If you'd like to connect with me personally, my YouTube (Booktube) channel is abookolive, I'm on Instagram @abookolive and Twitter @abookolive.
I can't wait to hear what your plans are for the month!
