I read this book in 2015 (?) Heres all i can remember Protagonist is a 16 or 17 y/o boy whose dad dies then he searches for the murderer with help from some detectives/police. They suspect a tanning salon so they send a girl to check it out and the boy gets a crush on her.​Also some organization tries to hire the boy who refuses . And the boy cant get his fathers inheritance till hes 18. I do vaguely remember a line when the girl came back from the tanning place the boy asked her did you get in one? To which she responded thats none of your business. I dontremember any names though when i try to think of the novel i faintly remember mcclane carter and perry although ive already tried those and not to much result

I tried to help you out, but using "tanning salon" "teen boy" and whatever else I could think of didn't yield any responses. Sorry!!

Ive already tried to find it this was just a last resort to see maybe someone who already knew it
