We have two series to pick from Amory Ames is set in 1932 England. Electra McDonnell is set in WWII England. Both receive very good reviews. I look forward to reading on of them.
Have read both Murder at the Brightwell & Death Wears a Mask. Enjoyable cozy mysteries with witty dialogue :)
I read the entire Amory Ames series and wasn't all that excited by it. I was expecting something a little more intriguing and not as much martial strife.
I've read the first of each series and decided not to continue. There are just too many series I like better.
I have read the first six of the Amory Ames books and really liked them. I will try to read A Dangerous Engagement in November. I'm looking forward to it.
Last night I started A Peculiar Combination
. Set in 1940 London. I am quite enjoying it. Our main character Electra (Ellie) is quite smart and sassy. Uncle Mick is a fun character too. I am bit tired of WWII books but do like like the ones set in London better than resistance France. Glad I have tried this series, hope to get book 2 as well.

I really enjoyed the Amory Ames series but haven't been able to get into Electra McDonnell. I am guessing it just hasn't been the right time since I enjoyed her other series.
GMTA, Rachel, I'm with you on this one. Enjoy the Amory Ames series but just didn't click with the other.
On the otherhand, I disliked Amory intensely but liked Electra and her family, though not enough to add her to my series I try to follow.

I finished it last night and enjoyed it. I though plot was well put together. Gives you a little insight into espionage. Looking forward to book 2.

I finished A Dangerous Engagement and liked it very much. I'm enjoying this series. The books seem to start out slow but then by the end I'm really into the story and don't want it to end. Someone commented that they got tired of the marital strife. I think that is always going to be there in this series.I haven't tried the Electra McDonnell series yet. I will probably wait until I get caught up with the Amory Ames series. If the author doesn't write any more before I read book 8, I only have one more to go.
Today I finished The Key to Deceit
. Book Two in the series. It has been awhile since I read book one but really enjoyed book two. The fifth and final book in the series came out this year.

I am moving along the series. I finished book 3 Playing It Safe
. Set in Oct 1940. Plot and characters are moving a long nicely. I am enjoying all the WWII information. Two good mysteries in this book. Looking forward to book 4.
