Courtney was saying about potentially reading a "scary" read for Halloween?I'm personnaly not a huge horror reader, but I do actually have a few on my kindle or shelves:
Empire of the vampire (chunky one)
The broken girls
Summer sons
House of hollow
Into the drowing deep
A couple of witches books: The nature of witches or A discovery of witches. My library has The year of the witching too.
I think Ninth House has some horror elements to it as well :)
Lol...I know, no idea about any of those other than I have read one book by Simone St James before and I really enjoyed it. She is the author of The Broken Girls :)
Lol Bella...we can always choose another one that you haven't read :)Happy to go with whatever you girls feel like
I started Babbo last night so far so good I just met Ramy. By Corinas right Bella we can pick a book that you haven’t read lol!!! Me and Corina can sidebar some too :)
it's up to you guys! you should definitely read House of Hollow though! it was super creepy and interesting! one of those books I told the entire plot of to my family lol
Lol...thats a good endorsement Bella hahaI definitely need to check it out...maybe not read it before bed though
The whole group is reading Ninth House in November, so I think I will do that as well. We can choose another book for us to read :), but yeah nothing too crazy lolI haven't read more on this one cause met up with some girlfriends for dinner last night.
Read the first 3 chapters, I think I'm on page 50 or around there..Robin is now at Oxford. Feel sorry for him...I know its the 19th century and all that but someone actually asked him if he can see because of his eyes...
Hey guys! I've been busy with college assignments so I'm way behind on all my books. I'll start Babel today. Looking forward to reading it.
Hi Nishita, all good. I personally haven't read much. My parents are visiting so I will probably won't have much time for reading.
Nishita just jump right in, I’m only on chapter 9 i think… Hey, has anyone put the new Stephen king book on their TBR? I’m not usually a fan of his content but this one looks good 😊
Corina wrote: "Hey, to be honest I'm not a huge King fan either, but I would consider reading the new one haha"Yay ok! I know I saw it somewhere and read the little summary on it and was like okay…I could do this one !!!! Ok so whenever we get to it, it’s there
I'm moving through this one pretty slowly! I've been very busy these past few days but I'll continue reading and update as I go along.
Me too...I'm only around page 80, so haven't read a lot from this one, wanted to finish Empire of Gold too hahaha
lol...all good, don't have much time to read either. I think I made it to page 120.Honestly, this professor is just dreadful.
and the bloody colonialism...that scene in the carriage when the kid (granted he was a child but still...) asked him if he can see properly because of his eyes
I know! Race is definitely seen throughout the whole story so far. And how Letty and Victoire are treated …errr!!!!
I know. The footnotes keep making me second guess if this book is based on real events or not. I keep googling the footnotes lol
lol...its definitely part historical fiction part made up. there is an authors note at the beginning of the book about the historical accuracy
