Use this thread to discuss the second book in the trilogy.

LauraW (lauralynnwalsh) I am a wimp as a reader, so I have had a difficult time with parts of this book. It seems more physically dangerous than The False Prince. Yes, in the first book, Jaron's life was on the line and he was beaten and injured several times. But this one still feels more dangerous to me.

When books get too much for me in this way, I often read the end, so I am able to continue with the middle. With this book, I have tried that, but I still have difficulty with the middle. I own the third book, but I don't feel like I can read it until I finish the second one.
