Patsy | 152 comments Hello, hello!

Our THIRD book together!

A super big shout out to Tiffani & Alyson, for being so involved the last two books - I have really enjoyed reading yall's opinions and reviews :) it's always really eye-opening because we all have different perspectives and I find it extremely educational for me to understand those POVs, especially the ones that do not align with my own beliefs.

November's chosen book is The Bluest Eye by Toni Morrison!

2nd in running (In the Time of the Butterflies) will not be added to December's poll because December's theme will be Winter Holidays - https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/...

The Bluest Eye is available online and free to read:

Tiffani (tiffanibooknook) | 29 comments I picked up the book from the library today! I was shocked how small it was - may be a quick read, but I'm excited to start. I haven't read a book like this before!

i didn't realize it's only about 200 pages!
i found this - https://www.goodbooksatl.com/shop/p/t...

it's three stories in one if anyone wants to have a bigger read :)
(Morrison's first novel, The Blues Eye (1970). Beloved (1987) tells the story of Sethe, an escaped slave who works at "beating back the past". Jazz(1992) takes place in the glittery Harlem of 1926 - the time of the Harlem Renaissance - around which Morrison sets the tragic story of Joe Trace, a married 50-year-old salesman who kills his young lover.)
