Hello! For our November 2022 book club pick, we will be reading Year of the Tiger: An Activist's Life by Alice Wong. The book is a collection of essays written by the founder and director of the Disability Visibility Project. It follows her journey as an activist who found and cultivated a community to help fight for disability rights.
We haven't read a non-fiction title in a while and thought Year of the Tiger would be a good read, especially since we talk about the importance of intersectionality on our show often. Looking forward to hearing everyone's thoughts!
Just joined the group today and funnily enough, this exact book was next to be read on my bookshelf. I picked it up from the library recently. Guess I'm starting it tomorrow! Looking forward to the episode.
