Nemo climbed into bed which smelled strongly of smoke and he was out as soon as his head hit the pillow. He started snoring softly. In his dream he sat at the table at his house. From the size of his tiny hands and the way everything looked big to him Nemo guessed he was about 5. It was those good old days when he didn't know anything about monsters or his real dad. Then his house started to crumble and decay. All the flowers in his mother's pots withered and died. His mom came out from the kitchen but she was so skinny he could see her bones and her withered skin. Her eyes were sunken and she looked ready to pass out any minute. "Mom?" He cried out. "What happened?!" She opened her mouth to answer but she was too weak to speak. He started to run towards her but a voice rang out around him. You cannot save her or anyone from this fate. Nemo bolted up in the bed sweating.
Liah stood on guard duty. She sat outside of their hotel room. The lights dimmed, and slowly, the distant sounds made by people ceased. She pulled out the book she was reading: A Good Girl's Guide To Murder; played her 'fav Billie Eilish songs' playlist on her iPod; made a cup of lukewarm coffee, and settled in. Her fingers wavered around her ring, just in case.
((Shooketh XD))
Lya rustled in her bed. She mumbled something incoherently.

He sighed terrified to go back to sleep. Who's voice was that though? They needed to figure it out and fast.
((Same, I love her songs and though I haven't read AGGTM, I have also heard it's quite interesting!))
He got up to pace, trying to coming up with who kidnapped Persephone. Restless and having no luck with that Nemo peeked his head out the door. "Wanna switch?" He said to Adaliah

Adaliah's mind was beginning to get fuzzy. Her eyelids felt heavy and started to droop when she heard the door creak open. Her eyes snapped open and she held her sword at the person's throat. She let out a breath of relief when she saw it was Nemo. "Nemo?" She lowered her sword. "Sorry, have to keep my guard up." Liah yawned as Nemo offered to switch places with her. "You sure?" The coffee's effects were starting to wear off, and she could feel the crash of weariness falling over her.
He gulped and eyed her sword with new respect. "Yeah skeleton queen. You need sleep after all that skeleton summoning."
Liah knew he was right, but was still hesitant. "But, what if they come and attack you?" She said hastily. "It's what? 4 am? Room service should start 'round 6-7. What if the empousai target you, since you're the easiest, cuz you're, well, a male?"
Nemo sighed he needed someone to keep his head straight when room service started. He sank next to Adaliah.
"Wait wait wait. But what if the robot donkey is gay?" He smirked at her raising an eyebrow questioningly.

Adaliah stood quiet for a moment. "I'm pretty sure being gay doesn't stop them from feasting on men. Besides," She pondered. "Wouldn't eating females be an act of cannibalism?" Liah agreed with Nemo about the empousai being annoying. "Yeah, even though their charmspeak wasn't targeted at me, I could still feel its presence," She stretched her arms and yawned. "I'll stay with you for a while... I could sleep here." She didn't want to leave Nemo all alone to deal with the empousai. "I won't let them. . ." She trailed off as her eyes closed. Her head lay on her book, her back against the wall. The iPod was still playing the playlist. It was currently halfway into, "when the party's over." She muttered something in her sleep that was incoherent.
He stared at the wall across from them and for once did nothing. He could feel his hands itching to do something but he honestly was feeling scared. He hoped his mom was okay....And hopefully she was eating enough. Plus something was nagging him. That voice..Who would want all the mortals to die? Including demigods. The gods would eventually fade too if there were no one left to remember them.

Liah found herself back in her childhood house. A small, cozy place where she and her mother used to live. It was near the seaside, a place which she found soothing, but didn't visit quite often. She felt a bit uncomfortable at the beach as if it wasn't her place to be. She was in her old kitchen. Usually, her mother would be cooking something scrumptious, or just enjoying the view outside. But, today, the kitchen, in fact, the whole house, seemed deserted, "Mom?" She called out. "Hello?" No answer.
She walked around the house when she finally entered her old room. It was dusty and covered in cobwebs. She shuddered. Spiders. She walked past a picture of her and her mother. People always said that they looked quite similar. She had her mother's dark brown hair, face shape, and bluish eyes. However, her mother's skin was peach-colored, whereas hers was deathly pale, like her father's. Mixed in with those ocean blue eyes was a tinge of chocolate brown, which represented Hades'. They came out much clearer when she was using her powers. Liah also inherited her father's height... she was roughly around 5'8'', while her mother was 2 inches shorter than her. "Hello?" She called out again. She felt a presence in the room, this time. She turned around and was face-to-face with her mother. Adaliah was stunned. Her mother stared at her with glossy, broken eyes. Her brown hair was messy as if she'd just woken up and her dark-framed glasses were toppled over one another, busted and cracked. Her usually lively charisma was confused and dull. She looked at Liah with no light in her eyes. "Who are you?" Liah's whole world was shattered by those three words. That's when she knew what had happened. And how much revenge she wanted on her father. It was because of him that her mother had forgotten everything - even her! Liah watched as her dream self began to sob uncontrollably and plead for her mother to remember her. The house began to spiral out of view until she was sucked into pitch-black darkness. She woke up, breathing heavily, sweat beaded on her forehead.

"Bad dreams?" Nemo guessed looking sympathetically at her. Demigods rarely got good sleep. No wonder they died early it was either from getting murdered or sleep deprived.
Liah took in her surroundings. She was still outside the hotel room, though there was some light beaming through the windows, "Yeah," She whispered. She closed her eyes and inhaled deeply, trying to bury that memory of her mother, but to no avail.
"If you don't mind, what was it about?" He asked her cautiously. If she wasn't going to tell him he was okay with that. Most of them had secrets that they carried around most of their life. It was like a heavy burden forced onto them.
Liah had a silent argument with herself, debating whether she should tell Nemo or not. She knew he was a good friend, but was she ready to tell him about something so personal? Then again, there was something different about him - you couldn't help liking him because of his persona. In a weird way, Nemo reminded her of her own mother. Liah took a shuddering breath and told Nemo about her dream. The grasp on her book tightened. The playlist was still playing. Currently, it was on the song, 'bury a friend.' She turned it off, while he processed the information. Her face flushed with embarrassment. "Sorry," She muttered. "I didn't mean to burden you with all this." She stood up, packing her things away. "It's stupid, anyways."
((No, no, you're not wrong. It's worse than Tartarus for me. At least in Tartarus, you can get out alive or just die... school's different, and once you finally get out BAAM! College! :D))
"Adaliah. Not a single word of what you just said was stupid. It's what made you who you are and it's important. I'm so sorry that happened to your mom. . . I could never live without mine not knowing me. I don't know how you do it." He looked at her admiring how brave she was having endured so much pain.
((and us demigods always have such bad nightmares so it's impossible to get good sleep: sleep deprivation))
Liah's expression remained neutral. She had learned to turn off her emotions when things began to get too emotional. "Well, she's dead anyways, so it's not important." She stated.
He knew she was probably tired of pitiful looks so he tried to remain looking nonchalant. "You probably are tired of hearing this but," He paused and tucked away a stray tool that wiggled its way out his pocket. "sorry."
