Ok, so my 3-4 favorite books right now all are stand alone. No exceptions. There's just something so magical about fitting a beautiful masterpiece onto one canvas. Of course, I do like series but at moment I'd have to say I prefer books that are not part of a series. What about you guys?

I agree. I love one show books. Unless they have cliffhangers. Then I get royally ticked off. But that's just me. :)
Hum...I can do both. Stand alones are good if you want something short and light. Series though allows me to fall in love with the characters.
I agree. With series I feel like I get to know the characters way better than when I read stand alones. I prefer series, but stand alones are great too. It also matters what kind of plot they have.
