Oh waw I absolutely loved this book! It reminded me of the crucible by Arthur killer mixed with the Netflix series Sabrina. It was so easy to read, it felt like a fairy tale I had already read somehow. The perfect time of year for a witchy magical book. I'm a sucker for a happy ending. I liked the character development of Agatha, the story was fast paced and I read it really quickly. I gave this book 4 stars, I don't think it's something I will reread but I did enjoy it very much. What did you think? Have you read any other books written by Brom?
I think I gave it four stars as well. This was a bit of a departure for me as I don't usually read books in the horror/fantasy genres but it was perfect for the Hallowe'en season. I loved the good vs. evil aspect and how the self-proclaimed "good guys" were actually the "bad guys" and vice versa. It made me wonder if the author was drawing on some personal experiences. I think what I loved most about the book through was the actual book. It was uniquely sized with wonderful illustrations and very nice paper. Even if I never read it again, it's a nice addition to my library.
