James Mustich's 1000 Books to Read Before You Die discussion

I've been distracted by life for the past few months and am just now seeing no activity on this group site. I love Mustich's book and have used this group as a guide on what to read next. Is anybody out there still? Or is the group dead?

I got into the same boat, and got a bit behind on my other reading. I'd like to still follow the group, though, if it's still active

I appreciate that this group is back. However, since I've already read all but one of the books in this month's poll, I will not be participating in this month's discussion, but look forward to joining next month.

Happy New Year everyone!! I've just rejoined the group, and I'd love to be an active participant for 2023. Is anyone planning to decide on a January book so we can get started? I personally like to have the whole month to read a selection if possible.

I would like to read Marcus Aurelius' "Meditations" this month. Seems fitting for January.

I would nominate Uncle Vanya by Chekhov. Chekhov is one of those author's with multiple selections in the 1000 Books guide, but assuming we would read just one at a time.

Meditations is great and deserves several reads so I can support that as well.

Hello, Chuck. You're absolutely right and I apologize for the inactivity.
As far as I'm concerned, I've been quite busy, dividing my time between studying, working and trying to read.
I'll just start a thread for new year's nominations, in order to start off on the right foot. ;)
