Miria and Lyra are walking by eachother

Alex was hiding in one of the shadowy corners of the hallways.

Alex turned to her in shock and stuttered. "I- uh... Have to use the bathroom?!?" she dashed away and locked herself in a stall. Ugh, her first potential friend, and she totally botched it.

Alex sighed. Then, she hid in the stall until class time.

Miria waved at the girl and picked Lyra’s hand up, making her wave too

The chimes rang for first period and Alex sighed with relief as she headed to her Charger session.

Miria and Lyra went their separate ways

Alex managed to create crackling electricity in the shape of a cat and smiled.

Alex forced herself to listen as her Mentor explained more about her ability.

Miria forced herself to listen and Lyra took notes

Alex sighed as she worked on striking bolts of lightning exactly where she wanted.

Alex startled as the chimes rang and she headed to her next class. She multitasked, switching between running to get to her class and stuffing her stuff in her backpack. She didn't watch where she was going, bumped into a girl, and landed on the floor with her stuff.

Alex's eyes widened. "Oh, sorry," she said, her voice barely a whisper. She picked up the loose papers. "T-thanks."

"I-uh..." she trailed off. "Sorry. I'm Alex," she said.

"Nice to meet you," she said shyly. "I'm in Level 1 too."
