That sounds good to me!

The Testaments is also on my list as is Colson Whithead. I hope to read another Cormoran Strike too. Good luck with all of your choices.

I want to read this so bad

Did you ever start The Gentleman Bastard series yet?? Starting with The Lies of Locke Lamora. The first 2 are really good. Its been at least 2 years since I read the last one, so I need to get back to it. Also; the middle of book 1, there is a plot twist that lets you know it's not all fun and games. Its so good
Also; The Farseer Trilogy?? First book is Assassin's Apprentice. The depth of this story from the first book to book 3 is just amazing. I cried at the end.
I also just finished a grimdark fantasy; The Faithful and the Fallen. Malice. Excellent.
A Plague of Giants!!!!!!! Must read. Its the Seven Kennings series and so far, there are 2 books out. I really hope there are more after book 3. There is just too much going on.

There's a review of this book out there that is hilarious. Basically stating that we get how beautiful and fierce the MC is; but never actually get anything happening. I don't know. I haven't read it and have no desire to. LOL

What Alondra said. These books are amazing.
I like the mix of books on your list. Variety is always a good thing.

Regarding Sarah Maas books, I'm not the best person to ask, because I don't seem to be the norm with regard to her series. The series I enjoyed most was Throne of Glass, but that was only when I got to Book 2. Book 1 felt very derivative. However...most people seem to prefer A Court of Thorns and Roses. I just couldn't get past some stuff that happens in that book, and I'm more into the fantasy elements than the romance elements anyway...so I didn't think that one was as good. I didn't think the Crescent City series was any better, to me the author just doubled down on the relationship elements, but she keeps winning GRC Awards, so I keep on reading to see if I'm missing out on something.
Two fantasy series that I enjoyed that come to mind at the moment are The Fifth Season by N.K. Jemisin and Ninth House by Leigh Bardugo.
I hope you find something that works for you! :-)

I have the entire series and need to read it. Maybe we can set up a buddy read for it in summer?? Books 1-3. It is quite involved; so, if anyone is interested, I can set that up.

Ok. Let me know which one you want to start offwith

Started off the new year with a woman married to 2 men from 2 different countries. Of course this a ploy that cannot remain a secret that comes crashing down leaving one husband dead and the other i jail accused of killing him. And one woman, a true crime blogger who has questions and wants the truth.
Veronica wrote: "Would you consider The Fifth Season and epic read like GOT? I want to start this book for the New Year"
I have no idea. Both series have high ratings and folk love them. Is it more sci-fi?? Either way, I think it is an epic tale.

First, I love the cover
Second, I love the music jazz selections in the book. I am a music lover and was in heaven
Third I liked the brief history told about the removal/gentrification of African Americans in San Francisco
Fourth the story itself was ok.

Oh I will be starting

This was excellent. Great depiction of the regentrification of Brooklyn. I love the dystopian feel of Puerto Rico before and after the storms. This is a must read

This was a hard read. A historical ghost story that is not for the weak of heart. I would consider this a southern gothis horror. A book on slavery and the ghosts getting their just due

It's somewhere in between, imo. It makes you question what you would do in that same situation. That's all i will say. LOL

This the sequel to The Family Upstairs. This family is a mess. The first book was about the abuse and trauma of family members in 16 Cheyne Walk.
Book 2 is about the family finding answers and healing from the trauma. Its a story of redemption. Also, a murder is solved.

Um well.. The book was fast moving and hyped until the end. I dont want to give anything away at all. But I need answers.. I would love to have a discussion on this one.. I will watch the movie next
