Patricia | 1206 comments Finished my first for this challenge: The Mermaid of Black Conch. At 225 pages, fits prompt #12, a book under 300 pages. I loved this book! I'll write more about it in my independent challenge.

Patricia | 1206 comments And my second for #26, a happy ending: Nora Goes Off Script. A romance with great characters and, of course, a happy ending.

Patricia | 1206 comments #8 A book with alternating time lines: The Book of Cold Cases; finished 1/25. I listened to this on audio and was pretty disappointed in it. I've enjoyed several books by St. James, but this was bored me. I kept on because I've liked her other books but fell flat for me.

I've read a couple of these authors' books and have found them very interesting. I'll best that listening was an intriguing way to go. I'll look for an audio version of this book or another one of theirs that I haven't read yet.

Patricia | 1206 comments Marin Ireland is one of my favorite narrators and I've now listened to at least two by Vecker & enjoyed them both. So, yes, definitely recommend this on audio!

Patricia | 1206 comments Finished two more: The Little Friend for #9 about revenge. Looked back over some of the mysteries I've read & several have a revenge element to them.
Small Things Like These for #10, book set in the 80's. I had about given up on reading one for this category, but I read this for book club this month & takes place in 1985.
I might be able to finish this challenge after all. We'll see!

message 22: by Patricia (new)

Patricia | 1206 comments #24 Set in a place I'd like to visit: The Little Italian Hotel. I would love to go to Italy!

Patricia | 1206 comments #15 a book centered around a holiday: The Twelve Slays of Christmas; finished 12/22; 4 stars.
I need one more to finish. I'm in the middle of a book with a purple cover but will not finish it soon (it's over 600 pages). I'm going to look over my books I've read this year and see if I can't find something that has an autumn vibe. Must be something!
