Raaj | 5 comments Please post your top three all-time favorite books. "The Hound of the Baskervilles" is definitely in my top three.

Lana In no particular order, but I can't tell you how many times I've re-read these:
- LOTR
- The name of the rose by Umberto Eco
- Agatha Christie (Miss Marple)

Raaj | 5 comments LOTR definitely is an all-time fave for me as well. So are pretty much all the works of Agatha Christie, though after watching David Suchet play Poirot, I am partial to the Poirot series more than Miss Marple. The Sherlock Holmes stuff is very close to my heart!

Lana I loved watching Joan Hickson playing Miss Marple! She is the one and only (in my opinion) and while I enjoyed Davis Suchet's performance - I stayed loyal to Miss Marple ;) I think the order in which I was able to watch these series affected my preferences.

I highly recommend watching Soviet version on Sherlock Holmes movies: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Adv...

I was so scared of the Hound of the Baskervilles! But the main duet is fantastic and the dialogs are truly enjoyable.

Raaj | 5 comments Of all the Holmes movies/series, I firmly believe that Jeremy Brett was born to play Holmes. Another brilliant Holmes movie is "Murder By Decree" which has Christopher Plummer playing Holmes and the plot involves Freemasons, which is another organization I am endlessly fascinated by! On the topic of Freemasons, "Born is Blood" is a great read.

QuinnMoone (thereadingtortie) | 2 comments - Pillars of the Earth by Ken Follet
- Notre Dame de Paris by Victor Hugo
- call me by your name by Andre Aciman

I think in that order. 😊

Wow! Pillars is good but are these your top-3 all-time? Read Notre Dame a long time ago and should put that on my re-read list. Not sure I've read the Aciman book.
