best book ever

I adored this book as well.

I also liked this book and thought it was very compelling and alive, but it is really looked down on in literary circles.

I really loved this book in the beginning. The descriptions and true love for the city of Bombay was lush and engaging, As it progressed, though, I got overwhelmed by all the characters, and had a hard time discerning what was going on under the surface. Maybe I'm just old and can't hold that much in mind at the same time. I finished it, but it ended up being kind of a slog for me in the end.
