Thom Brannan | 95 comments Yeah, so I did the thing again, this time with a post-post-zombie apocalypse crime adventure, Tribulation of Dax. So that's fun! Lemme give you the back cover stuff instead of the Amazon stuff, which is also the Goodreads stuff. Ready? Good.

DAX GOT CAUGHT STEALING

The next thing he knows, he was in the back of a van and headed for certain death. And if Dax were any other kind of desk jockey, it would be a death sentence. Especially on Cemetery Gates, where contestants fight zombies in a controlled environment.

THRILL at his exploits as he fights to survive the zombie-themed game show.
BE AMAZED at his skill in turning these situations to his own advantage.
SHAKE YOUR HEAD at his vast reserves of snark and dumb luck.

WONDER WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON

Thom Brannan | 95 comments Take your time, it'll be available until they come for me with torches and pitchforks.

Dan | 1577 comments I read the Look Inside free preview Amazon offers and have to say this looks impressive even if it's outside my normal reading genre. By that I mean the two and only two zombie books I have ever read are The Girl with All the Gifts and I Am Legend and Other Stories, neither of which got higher than a 3-star from me. I also never watched an episode of that TV series whose title eludes me now. But this book is better than all of that. Right?

It just occurred to me that some classify Shelly's Frankenstein Mary Shelly: 1831 text as a zombie book. If so, I've read three zombie books, and it is then possible for one to earn my 5-star rating. That one is really good, the highlight for me being this 16-year-old's philosophic musings.

Thom Brannan | 95 comments I wouldn't put Frankenstein in the zombie class, and I would NOT say my book is better than I am Legend. I also would not put that last in the zombie class, as the baddies are vampires.

In any case, this is the kind of thing *I* find entertaining. Your mileage may vary, ha.

Dan | 1577 comments You have a point on the Matheson story being about vampires. They were just so mindless, I forgot over this span of time they were not zombies.

I hope I can give your book a try some time. At just $3 for the Kindle version, the price can't be better!
