I finished Klaus today and actually liked it pretty much even though Fantasy or Dark genres aren't my cup of tea. The horror artwork was a bit overwhelming for me because it was scary! But it was necessary for the story to work. I liked the twist on the story about "Santa" Klaus. Now I'm so cold after seeing all the snow, ice and cold that I need hot tea all day! 😉
I gave it a 4 rating.

I'm impressed you liked it enough to give it 4 stars despite it not being your regular/preferred genres!
I also enjoyed this take on the story! I really liked the art and I'm going to have to look up more of Dan Mora's work. The story wasn't mind blowing but I found it fun. More of the type of story where you're not meant to think toooo hard about it haha.
Well no wonder I liked the art... I've read and loved many things already by Dan Mora. Clearly I need to be paying more attention to artist names than I have been!
Heidi wrote: "I liked it too. A bit dark, but what fairy tale isn't?"True, Heidi! Disney has sanitized classic tales so much that it's easy to forget fairy tales were historically pretty dark.
